Clearwater, FL (February 17, 2010) – On Sunday, February 14 at the Miami International Boat Show, The Moorings, known as the world’s leading international yacht charter company, announced the Grand Prize Winner in their  “Treasure Hunt” Sweepstakes. Upon tabulating the results, 4,268 hopeful travelers entered to win the ultimate grand prize adventure on a 6-night/7-day charter in the British Virgin Islands, and two other great monthly prizes.

Through a random drawing, Angela Helgeland of Temecula, CA was officially named the Grand Prize winner with the option of selecting from one of three vacations that depart from The Moorings environmentally-friendly base in Tortola, British Virgin Islands:

1. Bareboat Yacht Charter: 4000 Catamaran Club-level with provisioning for 4 passengers
2. Power Yacht Charter: 372 Powercat, fuel and provisioning for 4 passengers
3. Crewed Yacht Stateroom Package: All-inclusive with accommodations for 2 people

After selecting the Bareboat Charter, Ms. Helgeland commented, "I don’t usually enter contests, but this one caught my interest from the start with all the beautiful photos and wealth of information. It was fun and I learned a lot along the way. The information is well-presented and easy to navigate, whether you’re researching a yacht or a destination. For instance, I didn’t realize that The Moorings Village had been renovated!
