Overview - Give us a snapshot of your time with The Moorings?
From the time our crew introduced themselves to when we hugged them goodbye, everything we could possibly ask for was taken care of for us. All that was left for us to do was relax and unwind. The islands were beautiful, the boat was great, the sailing was amazing, and the food was delicious.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your vacation and where on your itinerary did they happen?
Five different types of experiences from our trip stand out to me. As an beach experience, our time at the Soggy Dollar on Jost Van Dyke was just a wonderful day all around. As a sailing experience, sitting on deck while Sam actually tacked and sailed (not motored like the rest of the boats)us right up to a mooring at Saba Rock was great. As a food experience, we'll always remember our great picnic on a totally deserted beach for my wife's birthday. Not only did the crew cook fresh fish that we had caught while we sailed, and macaroni and cheese which my wife loves; they brought her a birthday cake that they had taken the dinghy to the other side of the island to have made and decorated without us knowing about it. Finally, my favorite island memory was one afternoon when our captain asked where we would like to go next. One of our friends pulled an picture of a tiny deserted island out of her luggage and said 'how about here?' The captain knew where it was, raised the anchor, and had us on that beach in time to watch a fabulous sunset with no one else but us in sight.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Moorings guests visiting this destination?
Just relax and enjoy wherever you wind up.

Yachts - What features of your yacht did you like the best?
Loved the mono-hull for the true sailing feel.

Crew - What did you think of your captain and chef?
Sam was a great captain who seemed to really love to actually sail the boat. Bev was a terrific cook who even went out of her way to make special smoothies and chocolate shakes every day for our kids.

Is there anything else you would like to share?
We actually tried a charter with a private owner the following year to try a different location and because the Moorings had no mono-hulls available. The experience didn't come close to the level of service we received with the Moorings, and we plan to be back with you very soon!
