The cruise to the Abacos blended three totally different couples into a bonded group who shared a sense of adventure.

Overview - Give us a snapshot of your time with The Moorings?
Wow, it is impossible to put our vacation into a single snapshot of our time with The Moorings. We fished, snorkled, investigated quiet islands, saw amazing views, discovered all sorts of sea creatures. We dived to the ocean floor and dined on the lobster and conch we found there. Have you ever seen how conch is prepared? Have you seen a fish made ready for sushi? Have you had your tropical drink served in the coconut shell one of our group climbed to capture? Have you seen grown men become little boys again with the excitement of new experiences dancing in their eyes? Have you enjoyed the sunshine, while the sails billow as you flew on the surface of the ocean? When have you listened to life stories of strangers who become friends at night while sipping delicious drinks and devouring fantastic meals? It was a time to develop bonds that will hold you close to once strangers, no matter how far away they live, or even if there is never a chance to see them again. We touched the islands, our crew, and each of our group. All I suggest is "To Pace Yourself!"

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your vacation and where on your itinerary did they happen?
One of the most memorable experience happened every time we snorkled, which was one of two times a day at all locations. After a wonderful swim looking at the the plant life and animals below the surface, it was time to climb back into the inflatable dingy. That was so funny and quite an adventure. Hauling ourselves into the boat took a great deal of effort and team work. I don't think I have laughed so hard since. The meals were always memorable. There were so many stories retelling how the fish Faith served us was caught, or recanting the days memories to each other. I do remember Jeff grabbing the tail of a rather large shark who was hiding in some rocks so that we could better see him as he swam by us. Jeff, our captain, was the perfect guide to our adventure. I expect to someday watch him on a series of Surviver!

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Moorings guests visiting this destination?
Have an open mind, a willing spirit and a sense of exploration when you come.

Yachts - What features of your yacht did you like the best?
Oh, I loved the large beds, and complete bathrooms of each cabin. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was plenty of water, storage, and air conditioning.

Crew - What did you think of your captain and chef?
Faith and Jeff were wonderful. Faith had a wonderful sense of humor, and Michele and I continually raced to try and help her. She laughingly would chase us out of the galley area though, but she chatted with us continually as she prepared the most delicious snacks and meals. Jeff kept us safe. He loved to fish and share his love of the ocean with all of us. He never tired and was always ready for an impromptu adventure. Oh, he really loved his wet suit too!

Is there anything else you would like to share?
We plan to go again as soon as we can. There are so many other locations we want to experience. I have a dream of cruising the Greek Islands. If anyone wishes to experience that adventure with us please contact The Moorings and hopefully they will contact us. We need two more couples!
