Bareboat Sailing Vacations in St. Martin, Leeward Islands

The Windward and Leeward islands form the eastern border of the Caribbean Sea. Stretching from Grenada to Martinique, the Windwards got their name because British ships sailing from other colonies frequently had to beat the weather to reach them.

"Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Words of wisdom by Mark Twain

Mike Sims, December 2008

No strangers to sailing with Moorings, the Sims, Wrights and Agro families had been vacationing twice before with Moorings in the British Virgin Islands. St. Martin to Guadaloupe -- Some Tough Sails but Worth the Work

Moorings Response
There are some great photos on your site and good to hear that you tested the boat in some interesting conditions! We work very closely with Group Beneteau and Robertson and Caine and have a fleet of boats which are very capable of blue water sailing as you have found out. Your cruising area is one of the more challenging areas that we offer due to the relayively long distances between stops. The plus side is that you experience a range of different cultures and countries in a relatively small period of time. Where to next has to be the question? Thanks for completing the review and hope to see you back with the Moorings soon All the best Van perry Brand Manager - The Moorings

More of a grownup's vacation, with beautiful scenery and world class restaurants.

Ben Riggs, January 2008

A nice, user-friendly base. The destinations for a week included Anguilla, St Martin, and St Bart's. We did not enjoy Anguilla as much, and Marigot is a bit of a city. The great places were Grande Case, St Bart's, and the secluded anchorages at Ile Forchue and Anse de Colomber. The three of us guys have done BVI many times,…

Moorings Response
Great review and some good photos - some of the Caribbean sunsets are really special. We wouldn't advise missing any of the customs clearance procedures however!! Glad you enjoyed your trip Van Perry Brand Manager - The Moorings
