
Mexico's Baja Peninsula runs southward from Mexicali just under 800 miles to the tip of Cabo San Lucas, comprising the Mexican states of Baja California to the north and Baja California Sur to the south.
General Conditions
Between December & May – Winter Months
The weather is stable with Northwesterly trade winds at 10 to 20 knots. The water temperature is about 30 °C, air temperature range from about 77 °F during the day to a cool of 60 °F in the evening.
Between June & November – Summer Months
The weather is more unstable with normal winds between 5 and 10 knots The water is about 28 °C, air temperature range from about 75 °F to 95 °F.
The dominant winds are:
* The "Norther" : North-North/West. Frequent from December to April is
* caused by the Santa Ana Winds in California.
* The "Pineapple Express : South. February-March. High southern wind from Hawaii.
* The "Corumuel" : South-South/East. Frequent May through November. Low pressure. Strong wind in the late afternoon coming from the Pacific.
* "Chabascos" : July through October. Local low pressure fast moving high wind and rain, thunder and lightening storms.

The base provides client with a weather forecast for the first two days.
There is a local net on VHF channel 22 at 8:00 am each morning that broadcasts the weather.
Baja has dry weather with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year.
