We had an outstanding time. It was an amazing vacation from the Baths, Soggy Dollar, Foxy’s, Willie Ts, snorkeling at the caves and the views were just amazing!

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi provided the most amazing week we could have asked for. Chef Linzi’s meals were amazing and felt farm to table. Our personal favorite was the daily nibbles served with a signature cocktail at sunset. Captain Andy was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having fun. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience!

We had the pleasure of sailing with Captain Andy and his wife, Linzi. From the beginning of the charter until the last day, everything was perfectly planned out. We sailed to all of the British Virgin Islands destinations that we requested, and also had some amazing surprise destinations! Every day truly was better than the last.
Andy is very experienced and has been on “Seas the Day” for 5 years. He takes care of the boat so well, it pretty much looks like a new vessel. Linzi is an excellent chef. We enjoyed every meal that she made for us. She also made some gluten free options to accommodate everyone. The evening appetizers “nibbles” and drink around sunset every day was something we all looked forward to. Andy and Linzi kept the boat very tidy and clean.
The 4th bedroom is a little small but otherwise, we were able to fit four couples pretty comfortably. There are a lot of outdoor areas to hang out as well which is perfect for the BVI’s 80 degree weather!
Overall, Andy and Linzi were friendly and fun, and they made the experience unforgettable and enjoyable!

This was our second time with Moorings BVI and we were left wishing for more time on the boat! Captain Andy and Chef Linzi are phenomenal and made sure our trip was filled with many memories! Chef Linzi went above and beyond to make sure she knew of our needs and dietary restrictions were met with every meal on board. Captain Andy was knowledgeable and allowed time for our group to learn about sailing and life in the BVIs. We look forward to visiting again soon and highly recommend Captain Andy and Chef Linzi for your BVI adventure!

We just finished a seven day journey on Seas the Day. Captain Andy and Chef Linzi truly made the week remarkable. This was our first trip to the BVIs so we didn’t know exactly what all we wanted to see. Captain Andy is so well traveled through the area that his recommendations were detailed allowing us to pick and choose our own experiences. We always had great mooring positions, great travel arrangements at each stop, and spot on recommendations on restaurants. While on board Seas the Day we didn’t want for anything. Andy and Linzis service is first class. Linzi is a wiz in the kitchen and makes you wonder how she accomplishes each delicious meal from a ships galley. Her evening nibbles and the captain’s drink of the day are a welcome pre dinner treat. Our favorite part of each day were Captain Andy’s briefings where you learn where you are headed the next day. They are an accomplished crew that certainly allowed us to seize each day. Highly recommend Moorings and specifically Captain Andy and Chef Linzi. We can’t thank them enough for an unforgettable week!

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi provided us with a wonderful experience during our time on Seas the Day. Captain Andy’s “chart chats” were interesting and informative. Chef Linzi’s afternoon “nibbles” always hit the spot. Highly recommend booking them for your BVI Caribbean get-away.

Beautiful new boat and excellent staff. Steep learning curve for anchoring and reserving a Mooring Ball, don’t expect to grab a first come first serve mooring in the afternoon, and register and use that BoatyBall App like you are booking a concert ticket at 6:59AM. Best vacation ever, so glad we used The Moorings.

Fantastic experience one again with the Moorings, this time with Captain Any and Linzi. Simply can’t put it into words. The stunning BVI is literally everything you need but they made perfection even better!
You simply have to experience it yourself. Just trust me on this one folks!

We had a Beneteau 43 for 9 days. Boat in good condition, fully equipped and ready to go. Chart briefing was useful. Great wind 90% of the week. Fears about finding suitable moorings balls were unfounded. Our second time here.

Been coming to the Moorings for years and this year service was at its best 🙂 Did a charter in Greece last Oct they only have to look after about a dozen boats and they were on the ball but this year in Tortolla we didn’t have to wait for anybody 🙂 Job well done.

An amazing 2 week family holiday in a beautiful place on an awesome boat! All 5 of us (myself & wife, daughter, father & cousin) rated it as faultless and one of the best.
Arrival, check-in was friendly, quick and hassle free with a welcome rum punch helping! The boat was jaw-dropping, a 50 foot party palace with so much room to gather as a family, chill by yourself or relax in comfort as the scenery glided by. Loads of space, walk-in wet rooms, comfy beds, air-con, wifi that works, water maker, it had it all. The briefing was great by the super friendly Cpt Libert who was also on hand to answer any questions throughout the holiday. The boat was so easy to sail, with all the controls coming back to the helm. I was able to single-handed sail with ease. We sailed every day with consistent 10-15 knot winds and average speeds of 6/7 kts. Mooring was a breeze, picking up mooring balls, with the twin engines meaning you can control the boat so easily. We did have a few mechanical issues, but both were quickly resolved with a call to the tech team who magically appeared and fixed the problem (Big thanks to Ryan & Lushan!). Bringing the boat back was a brezze with the dockmaster helping us out and Tadak doing the post-brief to make sure everything was OK.
The BVI is such a perfect place to charter with so many cool places to explore, the beautiful scenery, friendly people and first class sailing. Get yourself booked in, you won’t regret it. -
This was an epic adventure with good friends and the charter with Moorings kicked our experience off the charts! The staff are extremely well prepared, organized and friendly. They have this process down to a science. Our catamaran was clean, organized and well appointed. **The only thing that I would recommend as an improvement is having a simple “Charter Manual” on board with visuals that covers the basics like, operating the switch panel, lighting the stove, where things are located, etc. While our pre-sailing meeting covered these, it’s easy to forget those details. We will be doing this again and will be using Moorings!

The Moorings at Marsh Harbour was great. A very easy place to stay and provision for your bareboat charter in the Abaco Sea!

This was my sixth time booking through The Moorings. It was the tenth time for my husband. The boat was beautiful and rigged correctly. The attention to detail at the marina was a big upgrade. Our luggage and groceries were carted to our boat and loaded onto it. That was a new service and we really appreciated it. The boat had plenty of supplies for us as well. The staff were ready for us on our return whereas in the past we would get to the harbor and no one would come direct us to a slip. So this trip was probably our best trip ever. Our entire group was impressed. Thank you so much!

My husband and I booked our first trip to the BVI’s and were not disappointed. I admit I had some apprehensions about who our captain would be as we would be with them for an entire week. Gilson, or ‘Gilly’ was just fantastic. He made our journey an adventure we will always remember. Gilly planned the perfect trip based on our friends recommendations as well as his own knowledge of the Islands. My husband was well invested in learning all he could about sailing and Gilly proved to be not just a great teacher, but a fellow explorer and now a friend. We will be back, but only if Gilson is our captain. We had a perfect trip full of lifetime memories.

What a fantastic holiday. We traveled from Eastern Canada to the BVIs on Jan 3, 2026. Of course winter travel in Canada is never easy, so of course we had lots of delays. We did arrive in Tortola the night before our sailing, and paid the little extra to spend the night on the boat. We had a week on the sea, and visited (and moored) in several places, including (in order): Cooper Island, Leverick Bay, Scrub Island, Jost Van Dyke, Cruz Bay (USVIs), Norman Island, and then back to Road Town in Tortola. We had a 42 foot Catamaran. The weather was great, the sailing was good (some days there is not a lot of wind in the BVIs in January), the moorings were OK, and the restaurants were all very good. Make sure to book you Boaty Buoy at exactly 7:00 AM, as they go within seconds, and a First-come, First-serve buoy is not always available. You then have to drop anchor which is not always easy in a sandy bottom bay. The Mooring’s is a fantastic place to rent your boat. Everything is well-laid out, and has everything you need, from supplies, shower facilities, bar service, a pool, and so on. I really recommend Jot Van Dyke, and no visit is complete without going to Foxy’s….a great experience, and the food was excellent. We did make the trek to Cruz Bay in the USVI’s, but we probably should not have bothered, with all of the customs clearing (too much time spent doing this while on holidays). I highly recommend sailing around the BVI’s, and there is no better place to rent your Cat than at The Moornings…!!!

Wonderful vacation. The 50′ sailing cat was comfortable and easy to manipulate throughout all the island stops. The water is beautiful; the local culture was very welcoming and the folks at The Moorings were great. It is a uniquely beautiful part of the world and one that takes most of the stress out of your life. Quick hint: From the first minute you arrive, it is Island Time. You cannot change it, you can not talk your way thru it, you just have to relax and enjoy the pace and chill.

This is our 3rd year with the Moorings, but our first with Andy & Linzi. Everything was top notch: food, fun, service, suggestions for the course & seeing the BVI from a different perspective and most importantly safety! We look forward to next January and a repeat trip with this amazing crew!!!!

We recently returned from a week aboard Seas The Day with Andy and Linzi. Our trip exceeded our expectations (save for the lack of wind – mother nature did not get the message)! Andy and Linzi are an amazing team. They keep a “ship shape” clean boat, serve fresh and beautifully prepared food, provided a great itinerary, and know how to joke around …. all with the utmost safety. They have a great relationship with many of the locals and made sure we explored places others may miss. In addition, they understood the best timing to explore places to avoid crowds. Linzi even went above and beyond, baking a cake for our birthday “boy”. We 100% recommend Andy and Linzi!

We hired a captain for part of our 8 day sail in the BVI’s with Sunsail. Gilson was awesome! He was a great teacher and communicated everything to our crew on all boating essentials, safety, operation of the boat, galley/water, control panel, etc. he was very thorough and when sailing explained why we were making a maneuver and what the outcome would be. He is very experienced, friendly and easy to have on board. It was great having him on board and would highly recommend him for anyone considering a charter in the BVI’s with either Moorings or Sunsail. We’ll definitely call on him in the future.
