Hugo Andreae

“Dubrovnik proved to be an excellent choice of charter base. Not only is the city itself one of Europe’s great architectural treasures but the surrounding islands offer a rich choice of destinations from quiet fishing villages and tranquil bays to bustling harbours and historic towns. And thanks to its unique geography you can always find somewhere sheltered to moor for the night.

Chartering somewhere new is always a magical experience but you can enjoy it that much more knowing you’ve got The Moorings team on hand to help out with everything from technical support to restaurant advice.”

What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?

The beauty of a Dubrovnik sailing holiday with The Moorings is the freedom to craft your own perfect day. You’ll find yourself making a new favourite memory at every turn of the compass.

Alternatively, find your favourite book and a perfect spot on the deck of your yacht and simply admire the mesmerising views of the Dalmatian coast. This is a holiday, after all.

  • Dive into adventure and snorkel near the breathtaking Odisej Cave off Mljet Island.
  • Explore the architectural masterpieces of Korčula town, a true historic gem.
  • Indulge in the culinary delights of the region, from a perfect plate of Black Risotto to the local speciality, Šporki Makaruli.

How many days in Dubrovnik is long enough?

We believe a seven-day charter is the perfect amount of time to truly experience Dubrovnik and its stunning surroundings.

This duration allows you to strike the ideal balance between sailing to new destinations and anchoring long enough to fully explore them – all while leaving plenty of time to simply relax on your yacht. A holiday this special deserves more than just a fleeting visit.

If you have any questions about the duration of your holiday, please contact us today.

When is the best time for a Dubrovnik sailing charter?

The best time to embark on your Dubrovnik yacht charter is from April to October. Dubrovnik, much like Agana, makes a fantastic summer holiday destination as it enjoys sizzling Mediterranean temperatures, particularly between June-September.
