The Moorings Yacht Club Hotel, BVI

The Moorings was founded in the British Virgin Islands in 1969, and the BVI has been our flagship destination and most popular cruising ground ever since. While these iconic islands speak for themselves, The Moorings marina facility is also unique, and a primary reason guests can look forward to a charter with us in the British Virgin Islands. 

Countless man-hours and millions of dollars were invested towards re-inventing our flagship base, which today stands as the finest marina facility dedicated entirely to yacht charter holidays anywhere in the world. We have designed our marina, now called The Moorings Yacht Club, to maximize your arrival experience in the Virgin Islands and provide everything you need to make the most of your trip in one convenient, stress-free location.

The Moorings Yacht Club Hotel provides premier lodging accommodations, as well as, everything travellers would need before and after a yacht charter holiday. With balconies overlooking the harbour, our oceanfront hotel rooms are perfect for those wishing to extend their holiday in the heart of Caribbean paradise. All rooms are fully air-conditioned with USA cable TV, an in-room refrigerator, coffee machine, and complimentary water.

Check In/Check Out 

The Moorings Yacht Club Hotel reception desk is located directly across from The Moorings Customer Service Desk. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by friendly staff throughout the recently renovated reception area that opens to a lovely landscaped plaza with panoramic views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Our dedicated receptionists are available to assist with check-in and other guest inquiries between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Please note: check in starts at 2pm, and check-out is at 11am.

Rooms

All rooms are based on double occupancy. A fee will be applied for each additional hotel guest. Each room is fitted with a king-size bed or two full-size beds.

The Moorings BVI operation

There are many other features of The Moorings BVI operation designed to provide an unparalleled customer experience, which guests may not notice. These include: 

• Dry Dock on-site: making it possible to efficiently and easily maintain our fleet above and below the waterline. 
• Chase Boats: These high-speed boats with enclosed cabins make it possible for our Technical staff to reach you nearly anywhere within the cruising ground, in nearly any weather should you encounter issues while on charter. 
• Laundry facilities: Industrial-quality, modern laundry facilities allow us to provide fresh, clean linens quickly and efficiently, and use eco-friendly detergents, which helps ensure your yacht is clean and ready on time upon your arrival.  
• On-Dock maintenance sheds: we have installed maintenance storage facilities at the midway point of our docks, allowing maintenance and cleaning personnel to access the tools they need quickly. 
• Mobile Fueling Truck: This mobile vehicle allows us to refuel our yachts regardless of where they are located in the marina, relieving congestion and waiting times at the fueling dock.
