Captain David has always had an interest in sailing, an enthusiasm passed down from his parents, who were both sailors. He was brought up in the English countryside and still enjoys exploring small towns and villages in his beloved classic car.
With a background in hospitality and the electrical industry, a career change called 23 years ago when he became a Yachtmaster. Since then, David has worked on a variety of yachts in the Caribbean as a charter captain. With over 360 charters under his belt, the majority of them in the beautiful British Virgin Islands, he has gained extensive knowledge of the islands and is happy to personalise itineraries to suit guests’ needs.
He enjoys meeting new guests, making new friends, and showing them everything the islands have to offer.
Chef Dawn was raised in the heart of England and spent much of her childhood competing in her favourite sport, skating. This passion led her to become a professional international skating coach, a role she held for 18 years. Alongside this, she worked in catering and the caring industry, reflecting her strong work ethic and diverse skill set.
Everything changed after a sailing holiday with her husband in the British Virgin Islands in 2001, where she fell in love with both the islands and sailing. It was Dawn who suggested to her husband, David, that they embark on a new adventure together — and the rest is history.
Dawn loves cooking for her guests and prepares a wide variety of international cuisine. She is also locally known for her chocolate cake. When not in the galley, she enjoys chatting with guests and keeping the yacht shipshape.
