A vision on the water, the new Moorings 5000 from Robertson & Caine was rendered with their signature styling and craftsmanship. This next-generation sail catamaran sets the pace for charter catamarans, accommodating up to 11 guests on a modern holiday platform with all the comforts of home.
The 5000 features four spacious en-suite cabins, each with zoned air conditioning for personalised on-board climate control. The head charterers may wish to choose the larger “master” suite cabin complete with additional storage and sitting area.
An expansive saloon features modern, light wood finishes and wraparound panoramic windows, along with a skylight for even more natural lighting. A fully appointed forward-facing galley will delight the chef among your crew with a double-drawer refrigerator/freezer, gas range/oven, microwave, blender and toaster. The saloon also hosts a dining area with wraparound cushioned seating, including a drop-down table that converts to an additional double berth. From the saloon, a door provides easy access to the trampoline and forward cockpit seating area.
The saloon also blends seamlessly into the aft cockpit with the help of stacking sliding glass doors. This area serves well as an extended galley, featuring electric grill, outdoor refrigerator, and dining table with cushioned, wraparound seating for enjoying waterside meals as a group. The Moorings 5000 innovations take outdoor living to new heights with an elevated lounge area complete with wraparound seating, sunbed and shade awning – perfect for taking in 360-degree views.
Other on-board details for a best-in-class charter experience include a water maker, flat-screen TV/DVD, Bluetooth connectivity, complimentary Wi-Fi, interior indirect floor and ceiling lighting, plus double USB ports in cabins and saloon. And come dusk, the blue underwater lights offer an added glowing ambiance.
Sailors will appreciate the raised helm station offering excellent visibility, full Raymarine navigation electronics, including rear-view camera, and electric mainsheet winch. Rounding out this next-generation yacht are twin 57 hp Yanmar diesel engines, generator, solar panels, electric flush heads, and inverter for powering electronic devices.
Air Conditioning This yacht has generator-powered A/C.
Convertible Saloon This yacht has a convertible saloon, which offers sleeping arrangements for up to two guests. This is included in the maximum capacity listed for this yacht.
Forepeaks This yacht has one forepeak. The port forepeak is accessible only through a hatch from the top of the hull. It is large enough for one adult and includes mattress, air conditioning, electric outlet, 2 USB Ports, and a fire extinguisher. The port forepeak is included as a single berth in the maximum capacity of this yacht.
Skipper/Cook A hired skipper can use the forepeak in all destinations excluding the Bahamas where they will require an interior cabin. It is possible to pay a fee for a skipper to occupy the forepeak in the Bahamas but this is subject to availability. If an interior cabin is not being used as sleeping quarters for a guest then the skipper will take the interior cabin in all cases.
Please note Teak decking, dinghy platform, and some equipment shown in the 360 Tour may not be available on Charter version of the Moorings 5000.
