Program History

The Moorings was founded in 1969 by Charlie and Ginny Cary. Charlie offered the first yacht ownership program in 1971 in the British Virgin Islands with a fleet of just 6 boats.  This was the foundation of the Moorings Yacht Ownership Program today. 

We now have over 29 destinations and offer ownership opportunities in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Mexico, and The Bahamas.
