What are the mooring fees in Mexico?

Most of your time in Mexico will be spent anchoring which is free. When you do need to moor up, mooring fees typically cost between $63-$133 per day for marinas, depending on the size of your yacht, location and time of year.

For a 30 ft yacht, you can expect to pay around $63 per day, while 50 ft yachts will be charged up to $133 per day. Some marinas will include taxes, water and electricity in this price.

What additional costs do I need to factor in for a yacht charter in Mexico?

Additional costs you will need to consider when planning a yacht charter in Mexico include: Flights (from around $300 pp for a round-trip), taxi transfers (around $29 each way for 1-3 passengers by car), taxes and customs fees, fuel*, mooring fees, provisioning ($50-$75 pp per day), Yacht Damage Waiver ($80-$170 per day), optional charter extras, and gratuity.

For 2 people on a 7 day yacht charter in Mexico, additional costs can start from around $1,500**. To account for living and operational costs, you should aim to factor an additional 25-50% of the initial charter price into your overall budget.
