“Dubrovnik proved to be an excellent choice of charter base. Not only is the city itself one of Europe’s great architectural treasures but the surrounding islands offer a rich choice of destinations from quiet fishing villages and tranquil bays to bustling harbours and historic towns. And thanks to its unique geography you can always find somewhere sheltered to moor for the night.
Chartering somewhere new is always a magical experience but you can enjoy it that much more knowing you’ve got The Moorings team on hand to help out with everything from technical support to restaurant advice.”

When is the best time for a Dubrovnik sailing charter?
The best time to embark on your Dubrovnik yacht charter is April-October. Dubrovnik, much like Agana, makes a fantastic Summer vacation destination as it enjoys sizzling Mediterranean temperatures, particularly between June-September.
Crystal-clear blue waters give way to white-sand beaches and secluded coves, while the thousands of Croatian islands offer endless opportunities for adventure.
Dubrovnik’s historic fortifications surround picturesque white stone buildings, their terracotta roofs standing out in contrast to the rich azure blue of the Adriatic beyond.
The Old Town is a taste of Mediterranean life from another era.
The harbor is overlooked by Dubrovnik’s ancient citadels and scattered with many spectacular Renaissance palaces leading on to a warren of pedestrian-only streets.
Just outside Dubrovnik harbor you’ll find the first of Croatia’s many isles: densely-wooded Lokrum, home to the ruins of a Benedictine monastery.
Cruise north and discover Mljet National Park – home to natural harbors, stunning beaches and tidal island lakes – and the island getaways of Korčula and Lastovo.
Beyond are the countless islands of the Dalmatian coast and a wealth of golden beaches, delicious seafood restaurants and exciting nightlife.
This is our second time traveling with The Moorings, and our expectations were met and further exceeded. We enjoyed the location, the offerings on the yacht, and the chef and captain went above and beyond to make our experience special.
