The Moorings 5200 – Flagship Luxury with 5 Spacious Cabins
Modern design, expansive comfort, and superior sailing performance – crafted for unforgettable charters.
With a heritage of over 50 years in yacht chartering and ownership, The Moorings is proud to introduce the Moorings 5200, our most innovative and luxurious sailing catamaran to date. Built by Robertson & Caine and designed in partnership with renowned naval architects Simonis Voogd, the 5200 is purpose-built for chartering – blending reliable performance, flexible accommodation, and elegant design in one exceptional vessel.
From its expansive social areas to its smartly configured 5-cabin layout, the Moorings 5200 offers the perfect platform for island-hopping adventures, family getaways, or group charters with friends. Wherever your course takes you, this yacht delivers a premium cruising experience unlike any other.
Indoor-Outdoor Living, Seamlessly Connected
The Moorings 5200 boasts an impressive 438 sq ft of integrated living space, connecting the panoramic saloon to the spacious aft cockpit via wide, sliding glass doors. The result is a light-filled, open-concept layout perfect for entertaining or relaxing.
Inside the saloon, an adaptable dining table converts to a coffee table, flanked by plush L-shaped seating and a movable bench to suit any occasion. Outside, the aft cockpit offers a full dining area with a large table and extra-wide cushioned settee, complete with a reversible backrest and a built-in chaise longue – ideal for soaking up the views. An integrated gas plancha grill and cockpit fridge/freezer ensure alfresco meals are effortless and enjoyable.
Forward, guests can enjoy a quiet retreat in the forward cockpit with sunbeds, while the coachroof lounge near the helm offers elevated views and yet another relaxing space under way or at anchor.
5-Cabin Layout with Charter-Friendly Flexibility
This thoughtfully designed 5-cabin layout accommodates up to 10 guests, making it ideal for large groups, families, or mixed charters. Four spacious double cabins with en-suite heads and separate showers provide private sanctuaries for couples or adult guests, featuring island or wide berth beds, large hull windows, and ample storage.
Unique to the Moorings 5200, the fifth cabin offers aft-access double bunk beds, perfect for teens, kids, or crew. For additional flexibility, an air-conditioned forepeak crew berth with private head allows for tailored accommodation setups.
Galley Elegance Meets Seagoing Function
The 5200’s fully equipped galley is designed for both beauty and functionality. Expansive Avonite countertops, deep storage, and a forward-facing sink provide a scenic spot for meal prep. A twin-drawer fridge/freezer is paired with an additional refrigeration unit, ensuring ample room for food and drinks. From casual breakfasts to elegant sunset dinners, the galley keeps everything within easy reach and securely stowed.
Confident Performance, Easy Handling
Designed with both comfort and capability in mind, the Moorings 5200 is as thrilling under sail as it is relaxing at anchor. A powerful sail plan featuring a fully battened mainsail and overlapping genoa ensures solid upwind and downwind performance. Compared to its predecessor, the 5200 delivers a 17% increase in upwind performance – a testament to her refined hull design and efficient rigging.
At the helm, a protected, raised steering station keeps the skipper fully connected to both the sailing and social experience. All lines lead directly to the helm, assisted by electric winches for effortless sail adjustments – making this yacht both easy to handle and exciting to sail.
