The Knotty Toddy team, can’t wait to welcome you to the BVI

South African couple Diaan and Dani share a passion for adventure, hospitality, and
creating extraordinary experiences for others. After successful careers ashore, they chose
to follow their love of travel and the ocean, embarking on a new chapter together in the
yachting industry.

Having both gained valuable experience working aboard yachts in the Mediterranean, they
bring a combination of professionalism, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm to every charter.
Their complementary backgrounds, Diaan’s focus on safety, leadership, and operations,
paired with Dani’s hospitality and creativity, allow them to provide a seamless and
personalized experience for guests.

Since making the British Virgin Islands their home, they have fallen in love with the hidden
corners of the islands and enjoy sharing their favorite local discoveries with guests. Some
of their most-loved secluded spots include White Bay, where octopus, turtles, and rays are
often spotted while snorkeling; Little Harbour, a peaceful bay perfect for turtle sightings
and a casual coastal hike; and the stunning Benures Bay, known for its untouched beauty
and tranquil surroundings.

When they’re not sharing the beauty of the islands with guests, you’ll find them exploring
nature, seeking out quiet anchorages, enjoying outdoor adventures, and embracing their
South African heritage through good food and great company. They also enjoy experiencing
the vibrant social side of island life, whether dining at CocoMaya, attending the famous
Trellis Bay Full Moon Party, or zipping around Anegada on scooters in search of secluded
beaches and local favorites.

They are both passionate about making meaningful connections with the people they
meet, while their enthusiasm for the ocean, wildlife, and island life is contagious. Together,
Diaan and Dani go above and beyond to create more than just a vacation. Their goal is to
deliver an experience filled with adventure, relaxation, laughter, incredible food, beautiful
scenery, and memories that will last a lifetime.
