Johan ‘Brad’ & Chef

The Go Team crew, can’t wait to welcome you.

The crew on Sailing Vessel Go Team invites you on a sailing vacation filled with unforgettable memories.

The team goes above and beyond to ensure everyone’s needs are met from the start of the trip to the end. The team’s steadfast commitment to the safety of both the guests and the vessel makes every minute spent comfortable (and unforgettable). An experience like no other with lovely anchorages, amazing beaches, great shore excursions, ocean to grill (fishing), great food, sails up engines off where possible, and an all round incredible vacation.

Captain Johan grew up always having a plan A and plan B career choice, however, always hoped to become a Skipper like his dad. Growing up, he spent a lot of time with his mom, she is a chef who ran her own restaurants, so he got pulled towards cooking and pursued a career as a chef. He went on to do training at resorts on various islands in between his schooling, plus worked at some of these locations after graduating college. During his tenure working on cruise ships as a chef, an opportunity came along with The Moorings and that’s when the transition happened. He has always had great knowledge and skills gained from fellow sailors; but he took this passion and went on to earn his qualifications, followed by multiple boat deliveries, and many mile building opportunities including an Atlantic Crossing, which has built him into the well-rounded captain he is today. He says, “My ever-lasting love for the ocean and boats makes me a humble skipper with a passion for making people feel comfortable and happy.”
