Best trip ever! I’m convinced that it would not have been as wonderful without our amazing Captain Romano and Chef Sylvia. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Romano was very knowledgeable about the area and planned us an incredible itinerary based around our interests. I’m still daydreaming about Sylvia’s food! They both helped us feel at ease and at home on the boat. Such a fun trip!

Our trip to the BVI on a 40 foot power cat was amazing. The boat was relatively new. It was in great shape. Harbor staff was helpful and very accommodating. Wind conditions were up, 20-25 MPH winds all the time. It calmed down for our voyage to Anegada.
This is a great way to see the islands.
The High points for the boat:
Full size refrigerator, water maker and layout. Cabins were very comfortable. The boat handled the high waves generated by the wind very well.
We are coming back in 18 months, hopefully with an additional couple or two of friends -
We had an amazing experience island hopping in the BVI’s on The Moorings Catamaran 50.0 with friends and family. Our Boat Captain, Chester, was knowledgeable, hard-working, friendly, helpful and fun and he went out of his way to make sure we had a fun and relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend Chester to anyone looking to charter a boat! Excellent service to both the adults and the kids and always with a friendly smile.

Boat was okay, briefings were poor. BVIs were fabulous.
I felt sorry for the guy who was thrown into delivering the navigation briefing – and he started with apologizing because he’d only been there two weeks and all he did was read the slides. He knew nothing. I’d spent four months coming up with a passage plan that I wanted to talk to someone about – and I ended up talking to other customers. Poor show.
Boat briefing was also poor. Little extra-knowledge about things such as water tank cutover process (wrong info provided there) and media/bluetooth connection- no knowledge at all there! In fact, the boat briefing guy wanted to spend as little time with us as possible. -
Wasn’t really sure what to expect going into this trip but overall it exceeded my expectations. I believe that was large in part to the friends we went with and the crew we were assigned to. Romano was our Captain and Silvia was our chef but they were more than that. They booked restaurants, taxis, excursions, gave us recommendations and by the end, they became our friends and part of our group. We were given very personalized service for what our group wanted to do. It was nice that they were able to cater the trip to our needs and desires. Each day Silvia would make meals for us from around the world. That was a pretty special touch. Great trip overall.
-
We had the best week sailing in the BVI with our friends. Truly lucked out with our Captain Romano and his adorable wife Silvia. The food was amazing and they were so attentive to any need that we had. Not sure that we could have had a better experience.
-
Our experience with The Moorings for our first ever boat trip to the BVI was amazing! Romano & Silvia were absolutely wonderful and felt like they made the experience even more special. From the food they prepared, to helping us map out which sites to see, and the genuine and humorous conversations made us sad to leave them at the end of our weeklong (6 nights) adventure. We always felt safe and listened to as Romano and Silvia ensured our experience was one to remember. We hope to return with our children and would absolutely charter with the Moorings again and would recommend Romano & Silvia 100%!
-
We just finished a week in the BVI with Romano and Silvia. What an amazing experience. They planned everything, and adjusted the plan based on the activities that resonated with our group. The boat was amazingly clean, the food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, and sunset captain’s cocktails were a perfect way to end a day full of exploration on land and in the water. Romano and Silvia made a great vacation truly amazing.

Having spent over 10 years working in customer service, I know how rare truly exceptional service is. Captain Andy and Chef Linzi deliver it at the highest level.
From the moment we stepped aboard, we knew we were in great hands. The boat was immaculate, they were very welcoming, and it immediately felt like the start of something special. The BVIs offer endless places to explore, and Andy and Linzi have truly mastered the art of balancing adventure with relaxation. Each day brought something new, beautiful sailing, great snorkeling spots, incredible beaches, fun hikes, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings.
Captain Andy is an outstanding captain with incredible knowledge of boats, the sea, and the islands. He also has a great sense of humor that made the trip even more fun. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in creating an unforgettable experience for his guests.
Chef Linzi’s meals were absolutely incredible. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, and she went above and beyond to tailor everything to our preferences. It honestly felt like dining at a five star restaurant every single day while floating in paradise.
What truly sets Andy and Linzi apart is who they are as people. They are kind, compassionate, passionate about what they do, and genuinely care about making sure every guest has the best possible experience.
If you are considering a charter in the BVIs, there is simply no better way to experience it than with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi. They created memories that we will talk about for the rest of our lives. Truly the best of the best of the best.

My family and I just got back from our 6 night sailing trip aboard the 50 foot catamaran “Seas the Day” with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi. We planned the trip to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday, and it was one of the most memorable vacations our family has ever taken.
Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were fantastic hosts—very welcoming and both had great senses of humor! Andy is incredibly knowledgeable and an expert sailor. Linzi’s meals were excellent—every dish was fresh, delicious, and perfectly tailored for our group. They truly are the best of the best!
Our itinerary struck the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Our days were filled with sailing, snorkeling, exploring the beautiful islands, and relaxing on the boat.
The entire experience felt effortless thanks to such a professional crew. We cannot recommend Captain Andy and Chef Linzi enough, and we will absolutely be back!
-
We sailed with two other couples in February/March 2026. We had an amazing time sailing the BVI and were very happy with the Moorings. Our Captain Anis and Chef Terry far exceeded our expectations! Captain Anis had a great itinerary for us and was also flexible to meet our requests. He is very experienced and made our trip comfortable and safe. He also came up with interesting and tasty cocktails for our group. The ship was fully stocked with everything we requested, and our crew also had a few surprises for us. Our Chef Terry thoughtfully prepared each meal that was perfectly suited for our group’s preferences. Every meal was delicious and presented with much care. The Moorings 5000 was an excellent choice for our group, allowing for plenty of room for all of us. Our ship McLovin Life, was in new condition, and quite obvious that our crew did an exceptional job in keeping it that way.
We will most definitely be back! -
The mornings in the Bahamas was easy to access. The staff was super friendly. The boat was ready on time and we were easily able to leave. The briefing that I received was thorough and accurate. I would recommend them again.
-
Boat was in good order and they were very responsive to our needs and desires.
-
What an amazing experience. We chartered the Calypso II with Captain Eggie and Chef Emerson. Could not recommend them more. Capt. Eggie was super knowledgable and helped supply the fresh food, while Emerson knocked it out of the park every day with unbelievable food and hospitality. It was truly an amazing trip and cant wait to do it again!

Excellent customer service. As you can imagine it is not easy to arrive get the briefing, walk through of the boat, make sure everything works and Fix everything before you sail away as soon as possible. They did it. We arrived late afternoon on Saturday. tons of boat all trying to get settle and ready to leave on Sunday morning. They had a late briefing on Saturday, we did the walkthrough that evening also. We identified that the generator was not starting, the water maker was not working. We were told that the technicians had gone home for the evening and that they will be back tomorrow 8am.
We thought it would delay our departure. the next day we checked with customer service and asked them about our issues. They told us they were aware of our issues and that the technician will be there shortly. Hundreds of people are supposed to be leaving that morning they probably have issues too. I wasn’t even sure if we would be able to leave that day.
Technician came on and it took about an hour to fix the generator and water maker.
We left Tortola at 9:30am
Just fantastic service.

Leopard 4500 in BVIs with 6 on board. Everyone had an amazing time, and very few minor boat issues.
The staff were great as always, and the location is incredible. -
We sailed from 2/1/26-2/8/26 aboard the Beneteau 52’ monohull “Glad to Be Here” with Captain extraordinaire, Chester Leroux, an fun and professional South African expert sailor. We had heavy rain and 25 knot winds our first two days and made the most of the weather by reefing the sails and minting a solid 10 knots! We sailed to Norman Island. We went for a swim and hiked the island and saw amazing flora and fauna before a nice dinner ashore at Pirates Bite. With even more wind and rain, we had an exhilarating sail the next day to Great Camanoe island where we snorkels at Diamond Reef, hiked scrub Island and had dinner at Marina Key restaurant (best painkiller in the BVI’s) beautiful weather our next day and a sail to Virgin Gorda past Dog Islands with flamingo’s flying overhead. Chester arranged for Mr. Dependable to drive us to Hog Heaven with a magnificent view of Leverick Bay. After a brief tour of the island we stopped at the Baths. Our hope had been to drop anchor and swim in but the winds didn’t permit and now anchoring was allowed that day. We then sailed to Anegada in lighter winds. We ate a delicious lunch aboard and then rented a car and drove to different spots around the island and snorkels for hours in various spots! Truly a magical place! We sailed a broad reach toward Tortolas north shore and motor sailed viewing the mountains, homes, flora and fauna. We were able to cut off the motor for a beautiful sailn into Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke where we picked up ice, topped off water then motored over to Little Harbor and anchored for the night and paddle boarding and some other water fun! Dinner at Sydney’s Peace and Plenty never disappoints! We sailed over thebXavea at Norman island with a beaded cave full of colorful rocks and surrounded by coral reefs where we delighted in swimming with fish, observing ray, ears and spotting conchs and spiny lobster. The guys climbed the cliffs and did flips infinity sea below entertaining onlookers. We motored over to the west end of Peter Island for the night and enjoyed sunset and sunrise beach walks, creating beach art sculptures , and collecting a few souvenir shells. Our last day allowed for a 7 knot sail across the Drake Channel back to Tortola. We have bare boated in the past and were really happy that we had a captain this trip. Chester made everything easy and fun. He gave us plenty of space but we enjoyed his company so much enjoyed it when he hung out with us. Chester recognized that we wanted to sail as much and as fast as possible and planned our sails to accommodate our wishes. He made reservations for dinners and boatyballs when necessary. At the end of the trip, Chester created a special map of our journey and sat with us and discussed all the amazing experiences we had at each stop. I can’t say enough about Chester and the terrific time we had because of his thoughtfulness .

We had an absolutely amazing time sailing the BVIs with the Moorings. From start to finish, the trip was amazing. We sailed with a chartered crew and Captain Jackie and Chef Marlyn exceeded all of our expectations. The check in process was seamless and Captain Jackie met us and escorted us to the 45 foot catamaran. From there we were extremely comfortable. The rooms were great and the boat was clean. Captain Jackie had a great itinerary for us and was a lot of fun to spend the week with. Her daily signature cocktails were excellent. I also can’t speak highly enough about Chef Marlyn. Her food throughout the trip was excellent and we are craving her meals now that we are home.
Overall, the trip was one of the best we have taken and we hope to sail again with Jackie and Marlyn in the years ahead.

Our boat rental with the Moorings in BVI mid-February was amazing!
The Mooring Leapoard 42 met all of our expecations.
There were 6 of us ranging from 44-72yrs of age.
When we arrived, the boat was ready and docked right next to the restaurant/bar/pool making for easy access with our baggage.
In addition to pre-arrival provisioning, The market onsite is well stocked with reasonable pricing.
We stayed aboard in the marina the first night and enjoyed dinner and music at the marina.
Once we shoved off, we aclimated to the boat and sailing quickly.
The boat met all of our expectations including a Water Maker, 8 person Dinghy with Automatic Davits, very comfortable rooms with separate shower/bathroom for each of the 3 couples.
We sailed to different mooring balls every day/night.
Once we arrived back to port, someone met us as we were coming in to board and steer the boat back in. Was very thankful for this.
An amazing trip that we did not want to leave and cannot wait to get back! -
Had a wonderful trip, staff very friendly and helpful, 46 power cat was in excellent shape, minimal problems , ac worked well generators and engines ran smoothly and economically. Getting mooring balls requires early morning planning but lucked out most days.
