    What an incredible experience!
I went on a trip on a 42’ sailing catamaran, with friends Nov. 1-7, 2025.
My friends hired a Moorings captain, Gilson, who made the trip wonderful for us! Gilson was cheerful, kind, helpful, and a skilled captain. I always felt safe and comfortable with him. I won’t hesitate to request him as captain on my next sailing trip with Moorings in the BVI’s.
Our catamaran had three cabins, each with its own bathroom, all clean and nice. Seating with tables both inside and outside were comfortable.
We visited different places every day. There were nice beaches, good snorkeling, great views, and excellent restaurants.
I can’t wait to go back to the BVI’s and sail again!

Simply a PERFECT sailing vacation!!! This was my wife’s first time sailing. We bareboated a Dufors 41.3 that was practically brand new. Things have changed since I was there 30 years ago. It’s quite busy, many more cats, and more facilities. The yacht was perfect in every respect. We even had a genset and a water maker, much to my surprise. We took our trip on the shoulder season to avoid the crowds. We ALWAYS found an available mooring ball and most of the restaurants were open. The weather was great and the staff at the Moorings was outstanding. We received a good chart brief as well as a thorough yacht brief. We had done a split provision which was all onboard and we hit the grocery store to finish it off. We left the dock around 2:30pm and were on our way to GREAT vacation. We only booked a 5 day trip as my wife was uncertain whether she would like living on/sailing a boat, but by the time day five came, SHE wished we had booked a full 7 days. We WILL be back….SOON. THANKS to the Moorings, their fine staff and excellent yachts.

This is a MUST DO! From the moment we met our Captain, Dino & Chef, Ana, we knew we were in for an amazing week! Ana and Dino’s kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail was, and is, greatly appreciated. Ana served us the most fresh and beautifully prepared dishes. EVERY meal was a delight! Dino is a walking encyclopedia and a damn fine Captain. At each mooring or anchor point he gave us the history of the location and its significance to Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast. The trip exceeded our expectations and it was all due to the care of Chef Ana and Captain Dino. Oh… and the boat was pretty fabulous too 😉

This vacation was a bucket list item for us, we had talked about for over 10 years. It was perfect! The sales staff (Amanda)at the Miami Boat show were very helpful answering all of our questions.
Luis was very helpful, getting all of the final details in order before our flights. Resort staff were all very friendly. Once we were introduced to Cape. Steph, the fun started. Start to finish our 7 day trip was fantastic. Capt. Steph and mate Julia were Awsome! They made our trip perfect. We had 3 couples on board, with a list of all the things we wanted to see. While dealing with weather obstacles we were able to see most of them. Both Steph and Julia were very professional, accommodating and friendly. We were in great hands. Julia is a great chef also. I need to go on a post vacation diet from over eating =). The 50 ft cat that we stayed on was immaculate and well equipped. Thank you for a unforgettable vacation.

Our group had a terrific time, cruising the BVI in our Moorings 5000 catamaran. This was my first outing as a skipper and most of my crew’s first time bareboat, cruising. The boat was great, the weather was perfect, and we managed to hit most of the places we wanted to see.
We were able to spend lots of time, snorkeling, fishing, and sailing. All in all, an ideal vacation.

We just returned from an incredible 11-day sailing trip through the British Virgin Islands aboard the Maggie Sea II, a 50-ft catamaran, and it was truly unforgettable.

The boat itself was immaculate — spotless, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. We were lucky to have perfect weather the entire trip, even though it was hurricane season. While many restaurants were closed this time of year, we never missed them thanks to Chef Sylvia, who prepared delicious Mediterranean meals every day. Her cooking was exceptional and full of variety.

Captain Romano was outstanding — experienced, calm, and knowledgeable. He took us to the most beautiful snorkeling spots and always found peaceful, scenic moorings for the night. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen.

If you’re planning a sailing adventure in the BVI’s, I can’t recommend this team and yacht highly enough. The Maggie Sea II, with Captain Romano and Chef Sylvia, delivers a first-class experience from start to finish.

One of the best vacations we have ever taken. We rented a power cat 13 years ago and the second time around did not disappoint. Going in Sept is very different. Many places are closed but if you like the peacefulness of being the only boat around and having some of the natural wonders to yourself it was a good time to go. We did 1st night on boat at the dock then 6 days on the boat around the BVIS. The only admission fee we had to pay was for some overnight mooring and the fee for the Baths. All of the staff at the Moorings was super friendly and helpful. This is the best vacation for friends, family and new experiences.

What trip of a lifetime. It was amazing it was a group of 5 girls on a girl getaway. We each had our own room and bathroom and plenty of space outside and in. The front net with the bean bags was my favorite to explore the islands and beautiful turquoise waters. All of this was made better by our captain Kevin “Jamba”, Jamba was accommodating he would take the dinghy and run to the market for anything that was needed and a lot fun. He was a great guide to see the BVI. I highly recommend asking for him if you are sailing in the BVI with The Moorings.

I was crew for this sailing adventure and not the captain. The Moorings facility in Marina Argana was very nice and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Facilities at the marina are nice. We sailed a nearly new Moorings 42 catamaran and it was a nice size for a crew of 8. The catamaran only sails about 60 degrees to windward, but on a reach and downwind it sailed very well. Most of the systems worked on the boat, except for the starboard side holding tank which filled and would not empty halfway through the trip. So all 8 of the crew ended up sharing the two heads on the port side of the boat. We were glad those port bathrooms worked. Marina Argana is an extremely convenient location for access to the Croatian islands near the historic town of Split.
