The four couples traveling together had high expectations for this adventure; Romano & Silvia delivered in all categories. The meals were healthy and delicious. Silvia excelled at recognizing the different food preferences of the group and making it all work. Romano offered suggestions & recommendations for the daily itinerary then made advance arrangements & reservations as needed. They were both exceedingly professional, courteous and detail oriented. I highly recommend them and hope to sail with them again someday.

    What a week!
Andy and Linzi had us feeling at home on Seas the Day from the moment we stepped aboard.
Whether it was a day of shore activity or floating with cocktails at the boat, Capt. Andy made sure we were on the best mooring ball or anchorage to make each day and location a unique experience.
We will miss the daily morning “chart chats” that discussed itineraries along with a bit of historical and nautical learning for the area of the BVI’s we were in as well as the evening “nibbles” discussion that laid out possibilities for the next day.
Chef Linzi’s cuisine for the week was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. I can still hear “breakfast crew” in my head.
Andy and Linzi make an incredible team, it was a joy watching them work together to make even small details just right. Their professionalism along with being just plain fun people to be around made the trip for us.
We spend a lot of time in the Caribbean each winter and have always thought about what a sailing charter would be like. We’re so glad we were able to join our friends on this trip and plan to return to sail with Capt Andy and Linzi again!

Where do I begin?? From the moment you meet Captain Andy and Chef Lindzi, you know you are in extremely capable hands and fun company. Captain Andy and Chef Lindzi provide the perfect environment for their guests to have the BEST time while also balancing the need for safety. From our morning Chart Chats where we reviewed where we’ve traveled, and where we would be off to next, to our evening nibbles meeti ng, where we reminisced over our day and agreed on our breakfast time, there was never a dull moment. Captain Andy is extremely knowledgeable of the British Virgin Islands and provided expert guidance for our daily adventures which ranged from snorkeling. touring The Baths early to miss the crowds, fun shopping, hiking, restaurant and bar recommendations. Captain Andy also educated us on sailing terms and British Virgin Island history.
Chef Lindzi’s food was top notch! Breakfast, lunch, nibbles and dinner were always a delicious surprise and savored by all of us. We could not have asked for a better dynamic duo for all of our first experiences (definitely not our lasts!) in the British Virgin Islands. We will be back!

If you are looking for the PERFECT trip to BVI, look no further than Captain Andy and Chef Lindzi!

We celebrated a surprise birthday party on Seas the Day with Captain Andy and Chef Linzee! I cannot begin to express how amazing they made this adventure! Captain Andy’s years of experience took us to the best mooring balls at each island, quiet coves where we were the only boat present, and he recommended the best bars and hot spots! Linzee wowed us with her culinary delights; From Nibbles (appetizers) every night at 5:00 to her gourmet meals each day! Andy and Linzee are a married couple and watching their teamwork was mesmerizing. They were kind, patient, and very accommodating. They made the trip the smoothest and most enjoyable trip I’ve ever taken. Highly recommend sailing with Captain Andy and Chef Linzee.
We loved visiting The Baths on Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke with the famous bars, and eating a magnificent lobster meal in Pirates Byte. Captain Andy took us to the best snorkeling spots at the perfect times to avoid crowds which made it very enjoyable.
We most certainly will return to sail with Captain Andy and Chef Linzee!

Anis is a highly experienced navigator full of knowledge of ships and the BVI’s. It was easy to relax while sailing on open waters, knowing you were in good hands. Tery’s warm personality and amazing meals were a perfect pairing to Anis’s smooth sailing. Every dish was presented beautifully, tasted incredible and left you wanting her recipes. We highly recommend The Moorings, but more specifically a charter crewed by Anis & Tery. This team truly made our experience phenomenal!

We chartered the Sedation 2.0 and had Captain Garth and Chef/Mate Christine as our crew. From the minute we boarded, we were treated like family. The boat was perfect and everything we expected. Christine’s meals were outstanding, from the formal presentations to the delicious cultural cuisines. Each day when we came back on the boat from swimming or outing, Garth had a specialty drink waiting for us. The weather was perfect and the water temp even better. So many turtles around the boat each day. Our captain made sure we hit all the popular spots and took us to a couple of his favorites as well. The island folks were Super friendly. Would definitely go back on the Sedation 2.0 again. Until next year…

    What an incredible experience!
I went on a trip on a 42’ sailing catamaran, with friends Nov. 1-7, 2025.
My friends hired a Moorings captain, Gilson, who made the trip wonderful for us! Gilson was cheerful, kind, helpful, and a skilled captain. I always felt safe and comfortable with him. I won’t hesitate to request him as captain on my next sailing trip with Moorings in the BVI’s.
Our catamaran had three cabins, each with its own bathroom, all clean and nice. Seating with tables both inside and outside were comfortable.
We visited different places every day. There were nice beaches, good snorkeling, great views, and excellent restaurants.
I can’t wait to go back to the BVI’s and sail again!

Simply a PERFECT sailing vacation!!! This was my wife’s first time sailing. We bareboated a Dufors 41.3 that was practically brand new. Things have changed since I was there 30 years ago. It’s quite busy, many more cats, and more facilities. The yacht was perfect in every respect. We even had a genset and a water maker, much to my surprise. We took our trip on the shoulder season to avoid the crowds. We ALWAYS found an available mooring ball and most of the restaurants were open. The weather was great and the staff at the Moorings was outstanding. We received a good chart brief as well as a thorough yacht brief. We had done a split provision which was all onboard and we hit the grocery store to finish it off. We left the dock around 2:30pm and were on our way to GREAT vacation. We only booked a 5 day trip as my wife was uncertain whether she would like living on/sailing a boat, but by the time day five came, SHE wished we had booked a full 7 days. We WILL be back….SOON. The boat itself was immaculate — spotless, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. We were lucky to have perfect weather the entire trip, even though it was hurricane season. While many restaurants were closed this time of year, we never missed them thanks to Chef Sylvia, who prepared delicious Mediterranean meals every day. Her cooking was exceptional and full of variety.

Captain Romano was outstanding — experienced, calm, and knowledgeable. He took us to the most beautiful snorkeling spots and always found peaceful, scenic moorings for the night. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen.
