This is our second time traveling with The Moorings, and our expectations were met and further exceeded. We enjoyed the location, the offerings on the yacht, and the chef and captain went above and beyond to make our experience special.

The base staff were wonderful. The boat was in excellent shape and perfect for our needs. The recommended itinerary was phenomenal. Just an excellent experience all around.

We had a great time with Captain Jackie and Chef Marlyn. They made sure we were comfortable in every way. Captain Jackie took us to some great places and Marlyn kept us full. We are ready to go back with them next year!

Our captain, Ahmad, was amazing! Super cool, chill and asked what we wanted to do! Not only did he deliver, but he went above and beyond!! Our catamaran was absolutely perfect for the two of us!! The staff at The Moorings were very helpful and friendly! Having provisions delivered to the boat made it super easy!! We would love to do it again!! Highly recommend!

We had a very positive experience with Moorings in the BVI. We attended the Moorings/BoatUS floatilla for 7 days. We chartered a 463 power cat, and handled it ourselves, just two of us. We had provisions delivered, but the Mooring Base camp has a great store on site. We spent a night in the hotel the day before. ALL staff were fantastic, and the locals were very friendly. The BVI was fantastic. Our boat, lime n coconut was really nice and had zero problems. Granted, you are chartering, if you have a problem, try to solve it yourself first. For example, I had to purge the water maker, then it worked great.

I had the pleasure of going on a week-long catamaran charter with my friends through The Moorings. We had THE BEST time and our skipper, Josip Boban, went above and beyond to make sure that our trip was well planned and special!!! We sailed from the Split area, exploring new islands and cities each day so that the experience really felt like we were getting as much out of it as possible. Josip was incredibly helpful in making dinner reservations and giving recommendations, as well as finding the most stunning bays to anchor and spend the day! Our trip would not have been the same without him!!

We chartered a 50’ catamaran with the Moorings out of Tortola. It was an amazing adventure with snorkeling every day. The captain and first mate(chef) handled the boat and all the details based on our requests. The sailing was carefree and the captain mastered the waves beautifully. I would highly recommend the Moorings and Flavio and Giovanna.

Our skipper, Chester LeRoux was the best part of our sailing experience. He was always working to make the week the best it could be, and he did. The ship had some technical malfunctions, but they were corrected promptly. We sailed for six days.

Our group of 8 adults just completed a week-long charter through the BVI and it exceeded every expectation. Andy is simply one of the best in the business. He navigated us through Cooper Island, The Baths at Virgin Gorda, North Sound, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, and Norman Island — hitting every iconic stop — while making it feel effortless and completely tailored to our group. He knows everyone in the BVI. Dock hands, beach bar owners, taxi drivers — Andy’s network opened doors (and moorings) that a lesser captain simply couldn’t.
But let’s talk about Linzi. Her cooking is flat-out remarkable given that she’s working in a boat galley. From a Caribbean chicken lunch on Day 1 to a curry dinner on the final night, every meal was fresh, creative, and genuinely impressive. And the nibbles — don’t overlook the nibbles. Each evening around sunset, Linzi would appear with something thoughtful and delicious, paired perfectly with whatever Andy had mixed up. It became the nightly ritual our whole group looked forward to.
What sets Andy and Linzi apart from other crews isn’t just the sailing or the food — it’s that they read a group. They know when to hang around and share a laugh and when to give you space to soak it all in. That instinct is rare and it makes all the difference on a week-long boat with 8 people.

Excellent organization and leasing agent for our group. Would highly recommend as the staff was very accommodating and the boat was in excellent condition. Best way yet to get up close and personal to the BVI.

10/10 experience. We hit all of the popular spots and some hidden areas all by Captain Andy’s planning. Chef Lindzi’s cooking 4x a day was also amazing, it was liking sitting down at a nice restaurant every day for food. 10/10 and hope to do it again!

We recently spent an incredible week on Mclovin life with Captain Andy & Chef Linzi. I cannot say enough fabulous things about the both of them. Captain Andy is incredibly well educated and made all of us feel safe during the sails! Chef Linzi made the BEST meals I have ever had. Captain made sure we were all taken care of and had nothing to think about other than relaxing. I would 100% recommend booking a trip with these two specifically!!

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were amazing. We stayed on a 7-day sailing charter, and the entire trip went smoothly. Linzi’s cooking made it feel like we were enjoying five-star meals three times a day for seven days straight. Every meal was unbelievably delicious, and it amazed us how well-prepared each dish was and how effortlessly she was able to serve eight plates at a time. Captain Andy was an excellent sailor and always made sure we had the best mooring balls closest to shore, making our trips onto land much easier. He also provided so many great recommendations, and every destination we visited was thoughtfully planned and carefully selected. Overall, our experience was an 11/10. Andy and Linzi exceeded all of our expectations and made our sailing trip truly unforgettable!

The moorings catamaran trip out of marina Agana with Captain Dani and Alex was the trip of a lifetime. The captain and host made the trip exceptional, Dani’s relationships and ability to navigate to the best spots and Alex’s delicious meals and service will not be topped.

Wine tastings in Milna, e-bikes in Hvar, swimming and sushi at laganini, military tour in Vis, caves in St. Clements, more wine in Solta. The boat and cabins fit 4 couples comfortably.

Would recommend this trio and hope to return.

First of all – we had an exceptional sailing adventure. Our Skipper was Chester. Simply stated – he was fabulous. His easy style and ability to read and mesh with the various personalities in our group demonstrated a unique and inherent sense of hospitality. I hope all the Mooring skippers enjoy serving guests in the same way. He used his local knowledge to make our sailing adventure the best it could be!

Had the absolute BEST time aboard McLovin Life with Captain Andy & Chef Linzi!!!! Unreal experience – after not knowing anything about what a catamaran entails, I’d trust those two with my life. Andy has extensive knowledge and confidence with the boat and waters, and has Linzi as his first mate and watchful eye. Awesome partnership 🙂 She whipped up the most delicious and balanced nibbles & meals every day!!! Andy and Linzi took us to the most beautiful spots around the BVI, and even ones only some are lucky enough to go to! As an added special surprise, my now-fiance was scheming with Andy & Linzi to create the most perfect, beautiful surprise proposal on Savannah Bay Beach, Virgin Gorda during sunset, which I didn’t see coming or could have ever imagined!! What a dream – A week on McLovin Life sailing around the BVI is one I or the family will never forget. Endless thank you’s to Andy & Linzi for making it so memorable and fun every single day! Hope to be back again!!

We had the BEST vacation aboard Mclovin Life catamaran! Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were excellent and exceeded all of our expectations! Captain Andy planned the perfect itinerary, we stopped at a variety of places in the BVI’s and each one was perfect for our family! We were so happy that Andy LOVES to sail and we were able to enjoy having the sails up while cruising the beautiful waters. And Linzi is an amazing chef! Every meal she created was well thought out and delicious! We especially loved her evening “ nibbles”
and Andy’s specialty cocktails every evening while watching the sun set. We challenged them with helping us celebrate a gender reveal and an engagement , both of which could not have been more perfect. Saying thank you to them both seems so inadequate, the memories that were made are priceless! ❤️

We had the most amazing experience on our catamaran cruise in BVI! Our captain and assistant were truly above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. The service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious and extravagant. We loved sailing thru BVI to all of the beautiful islands with our friends and would highly recommend The Moorings! Each stop was more beautiful than the last one.

This is a trip that was discussed for years and finally planned and taken. Two couples, family, retirement age, and active. The Moorings team was excellent with their communications for the booking and information needed to help us decide on the vessel. We decided on a Crewed (Captain only as we all enjoy cooking), 40′ motor catamaran. Five nights on board. With no prior experience of this sort of vacation, we relied on Lee, our captain to take us where we described and visited Norman Island (mooring ball), Virgin Gorda (dock), Leverick Bay (mooring), Bitter Bay (mooring), Scrub Island (dock), and Cane Garden Bay (mooring).

A wonderful time was had by all. We cooked on board 3 nights and ate at 2 super restaurants the nights we docked (CocoMaya – VG, Cardamum – SI).

Some advice for 1st-timers. We arrived a couple of days before our boarding day. The Moorings provides an extensive “provisioning” (aka groceries) web site that we found daunting, particularly with not knowing the space available on the boat. We visited the marina and had the chance to see the space before shopping in their supermarket, which is also at the marina – the great thing is that our shopping was stored overnight and delivered to our boat. Mooring balls and docks/docking – there are fees associated with these, which we were unaware of – take note.

Our power catamaran trip through Croatia was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we stepped aboard, everything exceeded our expectations. The catamaran was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, providing the ideal balance of luxury and relaxation.
What truly made this trip extra special was our captain, Johnny. His experience, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the Croatian coastline gave us complete confidence from day one, but it was his personal touch that elevated the entire experience. Johnny went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect. He always seemed to know exactly where to take us, whether it was a secluded swimming spot, a beautiful hidden cove, or a charming town we might have otherwise missed.
Beyond his expertise on the water, Johnny was incredibly attentive and resourceful. If there was anything we needed onshore, he made it happen. He shared fantastic local recommendations, arranged reservations at outstanding restaurants, and somehow always secured the best tables with the most spectacular views. His local connections and knowledge of the area made every stop feel effortless and exclusive.
Just as importantly, Johnny brought a warm, fun, and friendly energy to every day. He quickly felt like part of our group, sharing stories, making us laugh, and helping create a relaxed atmosphere that made the trip even more enjoyable. His genuine enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring everyone had an amazing time did not go unnoticed. Without a doubt, Captain Johnny was the highlight of our experience and a huge reason why this vacation was so memorable. We would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone considering a trip like this.
Cruising along Croatia’s stunning coastline with a group of close friends created memories we’ll never forget. Each day brought breathtaking scenery, from crystal-clear turquoise waters and hidden coves to charming island towns filled with history, culture, and incredible food. The flexibility of the catamaran allowed us to explore secluded beaches, enjoy spontaneous swimming stops, and watch unforgettable sunsets from the deck.
The smooth ride and generous living spaces made life onboard incredibly enjoyable. Whether we were sharing meals, sunbathing, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a drink while taking in the views, every moment felt special. Johnny’s expertise and sense of fun added so much to the experience, and the combination of adventure, comfort, and great company made this one of the best vacations we’ve ever experienced.
Croatia is a spectacular destination, and exploring it by power catamaran is truly the ultimate way to experience its beauty. We would recommend this trip to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway with friends. Five stars all around!

Our family has been sailing with the moorings in the BVIs for over 30 years. We decided to try the skippered option to see if we would enjoy it. Now that the trip is complete, I have to say the whole process was a great success. Joao (JP) was our skipper and it couldn’t have gone better. Not only was he an incredible boat captain, he was always so patient and polite with the kids. He quickly became part of the family.
These trips are always enjoyable but having Joao as our skipper made for the perfect family vacation.

As a travel advisor who planned this group trip, there’s always a little pressure hoping everyone loves an experience as much as you envisioned. But this week exceeded every expectation and became so much more than any of us could have imagined.
Before arriving, we worried a little about provisioning and having enough food onboard. We quickly learned that the Croatian islands are filled with incredible bays, charming waterfront restaurants, and unforgettable dining experiences that made every evening feel special.
And lucky for us, our captain knew all the spots. Everywhere we arrived, faces lit up as soon as they saw Johnny. He’s not only an incredibly accomplished captain, but also one of the most fun, engaging personalities to spend a week with. The reality is, you’re sharing your space with your captain all week long, and they can absolutely make or break your experience. Johnny doesn’t just captain the boat — he elevates the entire journey.
We sailed on a 46’ power catamaran and felt like it was the perfect setup for our group. It offered plenty of space, comfort, and the freedom to discover some of the most beautiful corners of Croatia.
A few tips:
• Request extra pillows
• Request extra towels
• Request extra linens
This was truly one of those trips that will be talked about for years to come.

This is our third trip from Moorings (but different offices) and the ships are getting better and better. All the cushions were in place, the heads were not smelly, everything was working and nothing was missing. The send out and receiving in was fast smooth and professional.
