Anyone who has ever chartered a yacht knows that the crew can make or break your vacation Look no further if you’re trying to find the absolutely PERFECT crew…Dino and Anna are a choice you’ll remember forever. Promise…

Dino: An exemplary professional and extremely knowledgeable, mixed with a quiet calm (he’s laid-back😁)
On the gem scale….Dino’s a diamond!
Anna: An outstanding chef, perfect at being there for our every need with the uncanny ability to disappear (we felt like we had our own private cat where delishouness would just appear!!)
    Anna’s absolutely magical!

Dino and Anna both have degrees in maritime studies. Dino also has a history degree. So, his knowledge was incredibly fascinating. Private guide/history teacher AND experienced Captain. Lucky us😊

Cosy and Jan created a wonderful relaxing atmosphere where everything was taken care of. We had a perfect combination of relaxing and activity. Cosy provided great advice on where to go and what to do, and Jan made the most amazing food – no need to eat at any island restaurant! You won’t find better!! They took all our preferences in for food and drink, and the entire experience was amazing!! I can’t wait to do a sail vacation again, preferably with Cosy and Jan!

Let’s start with the Mooring Hotel in Tortola where we stayed for 1 night prior to boarding our catamaran. It was outstanding, bar, food, pool, a little ship, liquor store.
The Catamaran was fantastic. 6 suites (one for the Capitan and Cook. Spacious and everything worked.
The food… wow !! No reason to go to restaurants around. You will not eat better food.
All the requested drinks were on board.
I do scuba and snorkel, and brought my mask. Their equipment on board was great. If I knew, I wouldn’t have brought it.
The Capitan was very accommodating and knowledgeable.
We were able to Bluetooth into the ship’s stereo. We played and dance throughout the trip.
I had questions and concerns about cell phone reception in this trip. We all left behind kids and our practices, reason for the concern. I ended buying the Garmin inReach. I’m glad to inform that there was signal EVERYWHERE we went. I never touched the Garmin.
    I strongly recommend this trip.

We had the most incredible time with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi on our very first private, fully crewed catamaran sailing trip around the British Virgin Islands! From start to finish, it was the trip of a lifetime!

Captain Andy crafted a fantastic itinerary, taking us to some of the most beautiful spots in the BVI — including Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Scrub Island, Jost Van Dyke, and Norman Island. Each stop brought new adventures: snorkeling, beach time, sunshine, and endless fun on the water!

Chef Linzi elevated the entire experience with her thoughtfully curated meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Her evening “nibbles” paired perfectly with Captain Andy’s signature cocktails, setting the tone for relaxing, unforgettable nights onboard.

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were beyond amazing — professional, warm, and fun. They made us feel completely safe and cared for, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy every moment. We can’t thank them enough for making this trip so special. Hoping to plan another adventure with them soon!!

We highly recommend booking this kind of adventure through The Moorings — and if you can, sail with Andy and Linzi. They’ll make it truly unforgettable!

Service was excellent. Captain Jackie was a pro and crew Marlyn created the best meals. Cocktail hour was a fun assortment of new drinks to try every night. Every stop was breathtaking and gorgeous. Dear “Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the recent charter of Pitter Patter through The Moorings Bahamas. My wife and I have chartered with your company at least five times in the past, and we understand that boats can experience mechanical issues. However, what we experienced on this trip was far beyond a typical breakdown—it reflected poor management, a lack of transparency, and decisions that compromised both our safety and enjoyment.
We arrived on time and were fully prepared for our scheduled departure. Upon arrival, Christopher Robbins informed us that the boat needed to be cleaned and that this would take approximately 1–2 hours. Almost immediately afterward, he told us the boat had been struck by lightning a few days earlier.
He then stated that the team had been working on the boat for days to get it ready. This directly contradicted his earlier comment about needing to clean it, so I asked him for clarification: “Have you been working on it for days, or did it just get back today and now needs to be cleaned?” That inconsistency raised immediate concerns about the boat’s readiness and safety.
Mr. Robbins left us sitting in the office for about an hour. Upon his return, he reported that the fuel gauge and water maker were not working, but they were “working on it.” He offered us an alternative: a switch to a power catamaran. My wife and I agreed, believing it would be better to take the power cat than risk a rushed repair on the damaged sailboat.
We inspected the power cat, agreed to take it, and were told it simply needed to be cleaned. About an hour later, Mr. Robbins returned and told us the power cat now had “issues.” I suspect this boat was being held because it needed to be delivered to a different Moorings location, as the explanation didn’t add up. His new solution was to “visually inspect” the fuel and water tanks and send us out on the sailboat anyway, despite his earlier claims that it was unfit to sail. Once again, this inconsistency was alarming. Checking the fuel requires lifting the bed mattress and the cover door to access the tank.
We finally departed almost five hours late, with no working water maker, no fuel gauge, and a boat we did not feel safe on—but we were eager to get underway. Upon arrival at our first destination, we quickly discovered additional failures:
    • None of the appliances or outlets worked.
    • Two of the heads were non-functional.
    • The forward light box was left open with taped wires exposed.
    • The generator randomly shut off, killing the air conditioning.
    • We could not even charge our phones—leaving us without access to navigation tools and wind/tide apps.
I called maintenance, and even the manager agreed that the boat was not fit for sailing. We requested the power cat be delivered to us immediately.
The next day, we were told it would arrive around noon. At 1:00 PM, I called for an update. They were “about to leave.” At 2:00 PM, they were “leaving the dock.” At 3:00 PM, we were told they had “just left.” The boat finally arrived at 4:30 PM. We essentially lost two full days of our charter waiting around due to inconsistent communication and poor coordination. Had we been told the truth about the delay, we could have at least explored the island instead of waiting on false timelines.
To make matters worse, when I requested to speak with Mr. Robbins again, he refused to speak with me. It was clear he was in over his head, and that proper support and leadership were lacking throughout this situation.
This situation could have been avoided had we been given honest, consistent information and a truly seaworthy vessel. I look forward to your response and to resolving this matter fairly.

    Sincerely,
