While the Islands of Tahiti are opening their borders for international travelers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before and during your stay there. Please note:

Tahiti restrictions have been lifted. There remains a curfew in place nightly between 10pm and 4am. Outside of the curfew, guests are free to sail and dine ashore as usual.


Starting January 26, 2021, the U.S. Government will require all travelers coming from international countries - including U.S. citizens - to present negative test results within 3 days of departure aboard a flight. Antibody tests and vaccines are not accepted. Please review the list of current options and testing sites for travelers that are required to take a test prior to departure.

All unvaccinated and immunized guests (11 years and older) must present proof of negative COVID-19 RT-PCR Negative (Swab) Test performed less than 72 hrs prior to international air departure or an antigen test (allowing the detection of the “N” protein of the SARS-CoV-2) performed less than 48h prior to departure.

Please note that Antibody, Self-Testing, Home Testing or Rapid Tests of any kind (other than the accepted Antigen Test that allows for the detection of the “N” protein), including rapid RT-PCR tests such as the Abbott ID NOW, are not accepted by the Health Authorities of French Polynesia and aircraft boarding will be denied.

Fully vaccinated guests must show proof of vaccine card, completed at least 14 days prior to arrival in French Polynesia. (28 days for the Janssen vaccine).

Please allow 1 (one) additional hour at the airport for testing (prior to checking in) for your return flight (more details, see "COVID-19 test upon departure" below).

Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions have changed to include information regarding what happens if you are required to quarantine on your yacht due to a positive COVID-19 PCR test result. Please review and sign online.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for anyone traveling to French Polynesia who is not a French citizen and is not affiliated with French social security, with whom Polynesia has agreements.
 

We recommend purchasing travel insurance coverage through our partner Redpoint Travel Insurance

Guest List

In preparation for your arrival, we ask that you fill out the Guest List with a list of all of the passengers on your yacht including yourself. Please submit this form at least 30 days prior to departure.

Pre-Provisioning

Order your food and beverages in advance with our convenient online provisioning store and have your provisions delivered directly to your yacht. Please order at least 10 days prior to your charter. The marina will not be able to accommodate orders placed on the day you arrive.

Electronic Travel Information System (ETIS)

All guests must register via the Etis.pf platform (Electronic Travel Information System) between 30 to 6 days the latest, prior to departure. 

Unvaccinated travelers will need an authorization to travel into French Polynesia issued by the High-Commissioner from the “Administrative Application” (to be found on the ETIS platform) and a compelling reason for travel: Health, Work, or Family.

When You Arrive

COVID-19 Testing

Both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated guests (6 years and older) must take an antigenic COVID-19 PCR-Test on arrival.

Children under the age of 18 years old traveling with their vaccinated parents are not subject to quarantine and can travel freely. Children 6 years and older traveling with their vaccinated parents must take the provided self-test on day 4 and day 8 to be deposited at certain drop-off locations throughout the cruising grounds.

 

Unvaccinated adult guests and their children and travelers with immunite through prior infection will also take the test upon arrival and are required to spend 10 days in quarantine, and a Day 4 and Day 8 PCR test will be required at the Louis Malarde Institute.

During Your Charter

4-Day & 8-Day COVID-19 Test

No longer required for fully vaccinated guests.
For children 6 and older traveling with fully vaccinated parents self-tests will be provided upon arrival to Papeete International Airport (PPT). The base will give you instructions on where to drop off your test kits. There are drop-off locations on each of the islands you will explore on charter.

Public Spaces

Guests must wear a face mask in all public spaces and must always keep a safe distance of 6 ft.

For travelers departing to the United States, the testing center at the Faa'a International Airport will be open to cover U.S. flights departing between 3PM and 8PM. 

In order to expediate your boarding process for your return flight to the United States, you may also pre-register for your antigen test and avoid a potential wait prior to departure. Two days prior to your return to the United States, you can contact [email protected], with your last name, first name, date of birth and your file number obtained upon your arrival in French Polynesia (found on the label affixed to the back of your passport). Should your departure flight leave at a different time travelers you should plan to fly from Raiatea to Tahiti about 48 to 72 hours before their return flight to the USA.
