lovely staff! Clean boat, and BVI is amazing. Rented from the Moorings for over 30 years.

We have chartered for years, both bareboat and with captains, and our captain this trip was far above any other we’ve had. He was friendly, helpful, and very qualified. We had some heavy winds and seas at times, and never the lease bit anxious with Will at the helm. His local knowledge was great, we enjoyed a number of wonderful restaurants that we hadn’t been to previously.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The yacht was beautiful and Theo and Martina were the best captain and first mate. When we were sitting at the airport to come home, I asked our group what they would change next time we do a trip like this. They could not come up with one thing to change.

Our boat was excellent. Our crew was excellent and satisfied our every wish. Our food was excellent , one couple said it was much better than on the cruise ship they joined right after our sail. Hooray for Martin and Tamara.

Andrew, the captain, was fantastic – amazing dinners, snorkeling, training on the boat and overall wonderful experience. We also had an engine fail and Moorings had a repair done within hours.

There were three couples that we vacation with often on this charter. We were blessed with having Richard and Shelly as our crew. We all have been on many different trips but this was very special because of Richard and Shelly. We all enjoyed that they would interact with us and we all enjoyed our conversations. I know that we all would charter with them again. The only downside was I gained 7 pounds from the fantastic meals we were served. Planning our next charter. Thank you Richard and Shelly.

We had a fabulous trip in no small part due to our captain, Anis, and our fantastic chef, Teri. Anis was appropriately safety cautious while also encouraging fun and adventure. He planned our stops well and handled the boat masterfully. Teri is so sweet and accommodating- we all wanted to bring her home with us. Her meals were delicious- we have all tried to replicate them upon returning home. It was a great trip.

Lovely crew (Richard and Shelly), fantastic food and drinks, They were super knowledgeable with great recs for places to go for snorkeling, relaxing, beaching/bars, exploring, and hiking. Our early 20s kids say it’s their best trip ever and want to go again which is the highest praise! Such thoughtful special touches went into our table settings, a birthday celebration, and food which was amazing! HIGHLY recommend the Moorings and specifically Richard and Shelly to anyone wanting a pampered, customized vacation!! Thank you!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our trip was amazing!Anis and Tery were the very best we could’ve asked for! They cooked amazing food, took us everywhere we wanted to go and kept us safe the whole time. We had such a great time with them! We look forward when we can travel with them again we highly recommend them for any plans. You have to travel in the future.

Nicest charter base I’ve ever been to. Lovely facilities while waiting to board and upon return of boat. Pool, showers, bar, restaurant, shops, etc. Most importantly, the boat was in great condidtion and the staff was very friendly – providing much assistance with loading and unloading luggage and thorough check-out process.

There were only three of us on a 46′ Power Cat, so we had crazy amount of space and room, but we could have had 3-5 more people on the trip and probably felt the same way. The boat was super clean and full of toys to really enjoy the trip above and below the water. The boat’s autopilot was easy to use and off autopilot, it was easy to maneuver (with the help of experienced deck hands!). We enjoyed cooking and eating in various spots around the boat and the lounging areas were well-designed to soak in the sights. Launching and retrieving the dinghy was a synch. We never worried that the dinghy wouldn’t start or anything.

The trip was amazing. Our crew Shelly and Richard made the trip. Shelly made every meal a delight. We sometimes couldn’t choose our favorite because they were all so good. Richard gave us the best sailing experience ever!.

Moorings have a big base in Road Town with some great facilities. Check in and check out very efficient and when we had an issue that needed attention the service was pretty prompt and resolved the issue efficiently. The BVI is a lovely area to sail in.

This was a genuine vacation – getaway – for our adult family. We had ideas, but Anis put together a daily plan that made every moment absolutely pleasurable. We had just the right amount of time on sail, playing in the ocean among sea life, and on land exploring spots perfectly tailored to our interests. Tery, his lovely crew mate, made every meal a feast for us – again, tailored to our tastes. The food was superb and the presentation was always remarkable. BTW – go with Anis’ suggestions for cocktails. OMG! Thank you for those nightly concoctions. We look forward to our return and new adventures with Tery and Anis in BVI. Cheers!!!

Everything about Moorings is first class.
The boat was very clean and maintained.

The chef made us great meals and was very accommodating to dietary needs.

For my husband’s 50th birthday I chartered a 46 foot power cat. Our trip started with an overnight stay at the Moorings hotel which made everything super convenient. The following morning, we met our captain/skipper Rico. Rico was instrumental in us having a phenomenal trip. He was pleasant, comical, respectful and an absolute pleasure to be around. He assisted us with our itinerary and watched the weather and water conditions to make sure we had the best experience. He helped us with snorkeling spots and educated us on the vessel.
The entire trip was beyond amazing and a fabulous way to celebrate a milestone birthday. A trip of this magnitude is hard to put into words but we can not wait to return and will absolutely be requesting Rico for our next adventures.

The overall experience with the Moorings was fantastic. Our whole family loved the trip from the boat, scenery, food and especially the crew of Wayne and Katy. They were top notch in every aspect from sailing experience to culinary skills. The views both above water and the fish below were exceptional. We hope to go back again and enjoy it all over again.

We had the BEST time with Captain Andy & his wife, Chef Linzi. I joined my BF and his family for a celebration of life (being alive) for their father. We are so thankful for him and to have been able to make this beautiful trip. Captain Andy gave us Chart Lessons each morning after Chef Linzi wow’ed us with her amazing cooking skills. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were outstanding! Chef Linzi’s Nibbles were amazing and they included top notch beverages prepared by Captain Andy!! They were both so accommodating and shared their stories with us like they were a part of our family. It was a natural, fun vibe on the boat. Thank you, Captain Andy & Chef Linzi for an unforgettable trip to the BVI on Seize the Day!! 12/10 recommend this crew!

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi made this the best trip of my life…and it’s not even close.

Our travel group consisted of different ages, tastes, and preferences. After a fantastic week at sea, we all returned home with an experience that felt like it was tailored specifically to each of us.

Andy and Linzi have been in BVI for many years, and it shows. Whether it was a lively, bustling bay with many other sailors (as some of the group preferred) or a quiet cove to watch a sunset in silence (as others leaned towards), Andy knew the exact spots that our group would enjoy. He took us to all of them safely and with everything that we needed for a good time.

And the food…WOW. Chef Linzi kept everyone amazed from sunrise to sunset. I can’t recommend her enough.

The two of them are a perfect match to create a dream vacation.

I will 100% be back for another charter and will be recommending The Moorings – and specifically this captain/chef duo – to friends and family in the meantime.

Cannot say enough good things about Captain Josh and First Mate/chef extraordinaire Rebekah! We went with two other couples on this amazing trip of a lifetime. Every detail was thought of from the check-in at the Moorings to having desired provisions on the boat to the daily itinerary. Seriously worth every cent and so grateful for the opportunity to sail leisurely through the beautiful BVIs. Thank you, Josh and Rebekah for taking such good care of us!

Absolutely a trip of a lifetime. 7 nights on the incredible catamaran, Seas the Day. Captain Andy created the perfect vacation for our family. A mix of adventure and relaxation. He made sure we had a memorable trip. Chef Linzi was spectacular. One delicious meal after another. Portions were abundant and the variety of food hit a wide range of preferences. The boat itself was just right. We all felt very comfortable and slept like babies every night. The best part of being on a boat with this crew is the sense of camaraderie. They are an easy couple to be around. Good banter and lots of laughs. We are sad it’s over but looking forward to another trip with them in the future.

We chartered the Mooring 4500L Knotty Toddy with Captain Richard and Chef Shelly! We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this adventure with this crew!
It was “smooth sailing” with Captain Richard (Yum Yum), he was a very knowledgeable and experienced Captain with many years of sailing all over the world and he customized our sailing itinerary to our preferences! He also makes a mean 5 O’clock cocktail!
Chef Shelly (Birdie) was an AMAZING chef…we felt like we were on a 5 star culinary tour….the food was plentiful, all healthy homemade and delicious recipes, cooked to perfection and served beautifully for every meal!
The catamaran was pristine and so roomy with plenty of lounging spaces so it never felt crowded! Richard and Shelly were constantly cleaning and making sure that everything was perfect at all times!
Overall…relaxing sailing, adventures snorkeling and exploring on the islands and definitely one of the most outstanding vacations ever!

I have chartered with Horizon, Dreams, BVIYC, and others over the past 12+ years and keep coming back to Moorings because of the consistency of the equipment and service. This year’s trip was no different. The boat was mostly as-described, the provisions mostly as requested, and the service more than adequate. Running a huge, complicated chartering service like this without a glitch is impossible and reviewers who are disappointed with the inevitable problems that arise before/during their charter should really look elsewhere: There is a place called “fantasyland” where everything is perfect all the time! In my opinion, Moorings is the industry leader and the industry standard. Set reasonable expectations and you’ll have a great charter!

We along with three other couple just finished a seven night island hopping excursion on the Catamaran “Wasted Seamen” and we were spoiled with surprises and great meals by our Captain Francesco and his First Mate Nika.
Can’t say enough about these two. The BVI’s were stunning and the Crew was knowledgeable and very safety minded that made our trip even more pleasant.

We sailed on the Knotty Toddy with Richard and Shelly. Richard was a very knowledgeable and accommodating captain. Shelly was an awesome cook and very outgoing and personable.
We found the water to be murky and the weather marginal. Very little marine life when snorkeling.
Richard and Shelly could not control the weather, but made the best of the charter and it was very enjoyable.
