The Moorings consistently provides a high level of service, excellent boats, and is run by friendly people – all at a fair price.

Very nice boats, well run company with helpful and courteous staff to make sure you get away from the dock with a minimum amount of fuss. The same is true upon bringing the boat back from your charter.

This was our 6th sailboat charter with Moorings. We love the BVI and a Moorings charter is the best way to experience them. Your crews and boats are always top notch.

Perfect family vacation with the best captain – Malek – who took excellent care of us and became part of the family. He showed us beautiful secret spots and took us to excellent restaurants, joined in games with us and left us alone at the right times. Great, skilled sails with kindness.

From arrival to departure,staff was all very friendly and helpful…I have sailed my entire life…mono hulls only..The 50 foot cat we chartered was a wonderful surprise..roomy doesn’t really describe it…It sailed much better than I expected…motoring and getting buoys as a breeze…loved the twin engines.AND!!! everything worked on the boat…!!!

Our captain Robin and crew/chef Sophie were both fabulous. The 50 foot boat was very well designed and well suited to our party of 8, with many different seating areas; and the variety of anchorages and daily activities entertained all of us.

We booked a 50-foot catamaran with Moorings for a five-night, six-day trip around the British Virgin Islands aboard Seas The Day, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were amazing.

Captain Andy really took the time before the trip to understand what our group was looking for during our Zoom call, and it showed. The itinerary was perfectly planned for us and never felt rushed or cookie-cutter.

The food and drinks were fantastic, and the ingredients were always very fresh. Every meal was great, and the attention to detail made it feel like a true all-inclusive, luxury vacation. One of our favorite daily traditions quickly became the sunset nibbles and cocktails — something we all looked forward to every single evening.

This was the first BVI sailing trip for all four couples, and Captain Andy made it easy and fun. He taught us a lot about sailing, shared tons of information about the islands, and helped us feel completely comfortable the entire time. Each day we’d sit down and talk through plans for the next day, giving us options and all the info we needed to choose what we wanted to do — and it always turned out to be the perfect plan.

We can’t recommend Moorings, Captain Andy, and Chef Linzi enough. We’ll absolutely be booking another trip in the future with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi and can’t wait to do it all again.

Romano and Silvia were most excellent hosts! We felt safe with them and they provided wonderful meals and stories. We love to sail and they did too! Very kind. They made us feel most welcome.

This is a top shelf charter business. The experience was awesome and the staff is superb. They cover all your needs seamlessly. I will definitely do this again.

Crew was outstanding. Captain Francesco was great. Nika was absolutely amazing. Cooked 3 meals a day that were delicious and presentation was absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend asking for them to be your crew.

We recently spent six nights sailing the British Virgin Islands on a Moorings 5000 catamaran, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The boat was perfect for our group of four couples. The layout worked beautifully, and we had no issues at all throughout the trip.

Our captain, Gilson Melo, was truly outstanding and made the experience exceptional. His communication was clear and proactive from start to finish, his itinerary recommendations were spot-on, and his skill and confidence at the helm made us feel completely at ease. Gilson struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, ensuring we had an unforgettable experience. We could not have asked for a better captain.

We would highly recommend both the Moorings 5000 and Captain Gilson Melo and would happily sail with The Moorings again.

We booked the 50’ catamaran Seas the Day with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi for 5 nights starting January 27th-February 1st. From start to finish we felt safe and spoiled! Captain Andy tailored our itinerary to exactly what we wanted to see and do and Chef Linzi made us the best meals and “nibbles”. They were an incredible team who went above and beyond and truly made us feel at home. I would highly recommend booking with them. You won’t regret it!

Capt Richard and wife, first mate, chef Shelly were outstanding! Richard knew his business and maximized each day for us. Shelly prepared amazing meals. We couldn’t ask for more.

Life aboard was fabulous. Flexible. Captain and crew impressive. Romano and Sylvia were a dynamic couple. A fabulous week at sea. Well done.

We just got back from an amazing week sailing the BVIs on a catamaran! Captain Laura was at the helm and she was fantastic! We hit all the highlights: Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, and more. If you’re thinking of a BVI trip, I can’t recommend it enough, especially with a skipper like Laura who made it all feel effortless. Thank you!

We had the best time on our sailing trip. An unexpected highlight was our captain Laura! Wow – just superb! She expertly planned our itinerary based on our interests and sailing conditions. She secured mooring balls at all the most popular spots! And she proactively made dinner reservations for us at the best dinner spots. She was detailed-oriented and expert on the seas. Her laid back personality was non-intrusive and she adapted seamlessly to our humor and quips! What a delight! 5/5 stars! Would hire her gain in a heartbeat.

From arrival at Reception to off the dock in less than 2 hours with the same efficiency upon return. In addition, nothing on the boat gave us undue grief – that’s unusual! As with most charters, you get what you pay for – good trip. Moorings, thanks for being prepared.

The 45’L catamaran was very comfortable. The front seating and the top deck seating made for a spacious and comfortable week. Everything was in great working condition. My only warning for guests is to do your own provisioning. We used the Moorings online service thinking it would save time, but not only did it cost a considerably higher price, almost half of our items were not in stock. And to make matters worse, we were charged for most of those and had to call the store and go to the store three or four times to rectify the situation. I highly recommend taking a taxi to the store and buy your own goods. This service was really bad and took lots of fun out of my week.

We had an outstanding time. It was an amazing vacation from the Baths, Soggy Dollar, Foxy’s, Willie Ts, snorkeling at the caves and the views were just amazing!

Captain Andy and Chef Linzi provided the most amazing week we could have asked for. Chef Linzi’s meals were amazing and felt farm to table. Our personal favorite was the daily nibbles served with a signature cocktail at sunset. Captain Andy was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having fun. Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience!

We had the pleasure of sailing with Captain Andy and his wife, Linzi. From the beginning of the charter until the last day, everything was perfectly planned out. We sailed to all of the British Virgin Islands destinations that we requested, and also had some amazing surprise destinations! Every day truly was better than the last.

Andy is very experienced and has been on “Seas the Day” for 5 years. He takes care of the boat so well, it pretty much looks like a new vessel. Linzi is an excellent chef. We enjoyed every meal that she made for us. She also made some gluten free options to accommodate everyone. The evening appetizers “nibbles” and drink around sunset every day was something we all looked forward to. Andy and Linzi kept the boat very tidy and clean.

The 4th bedroom is a little small but otherwise, we were able to fit four couples pretty comfortably. There are a lot of outdoor areas to hang out as well which is perfect for the BVI’s 80 degree weather!

Overall, Andy and Linzi were friendly and fun, and they made the experience unforgettable and enjoyable!
