Best all around operation that I have experienced

It was a great experience overall. My family enjoyed it.

It was good to finally return to the BVI post Covid and post hurricane and see all of the improvements and staff hard at work. Everyone was busy and eager to help. Management should be proud of the people who are staffing the office and docks.

We have chartered twice in the past year and have had a great experience each time.

Captain´s openness and flexibility to do what everyone wanted, and Jossane’s cooking have been key for all of us to enjoy our vacation and feel very comfortable. They both were amazing.

This was our second time to charter with The Moorings. Service and boats are top notch.

A unique experience with “once in a lifetime feel”. Although it is more likely that we will be back again. Our experience was outstanding, thanks wholly to our captain and chef. We requested Garth and Christine based off of our review of their profile, and they did not disappoint! In fact, the two of them made our vacation even more memorable. They are professional, extremely knowledgable, and just overall great people. Highly recommend them…

We had a fantastic experience. Our captain, Giorgio Caputo was highly skilled at sailing and very attentive to all of our needs. The boat was immaculate and the Moorings experience was seemless.

The experience was wonderful. All of the staff members were extremely helpful and always attentive if we had any questions. The yacht “Sea Dream” was in great shape and was very comfortable and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will definitely do it again.

Moorings made the entire process so easy. Our Moorings 5000 Catamaran Seas the Day was in supreme condition. And Captain Andy and Chef Linzi were so professional and everything we dreamed of!

The team in Road Town was great– welcoming, positive attitude, can-do approach, and focus on what matters. The boat was better than expected– in great shape and good value for the money. The islands around Tortola were a blast to see and visit!

Consistently good service

We had the trip of a lifetime. Captain Theo and Chef/First Mate Martina made this perhaps the most memorable vacation of our lives! The boat was perfect, the service was impeccable, the food amazing, and the experience was just fantastic. We loved getting to experience all of the BVIs in only 6 nights! Theo and Martina customized our itinerary each night for the following day and new exactly how to cater towards our desires – a mix of sailing, relaxing, swimming, island hopping and exploring. 10/10 5+ stars!!!

The trip was amazing! Our captain and cook exceeded our expectations. The BVI locations were beautiful and our catamaran was first class.

Errol Maynard made our entire trip! We told him the places we wanted to see and that we wanted to sail and use our skills as much as possible. He made all that happen and even got us to Anegada.

Everything was wonderful

Everything exceeded expectations. After booking, the information received, follow up, reception in place, the quality of the BVI location, the SPA at Tortola, the sailboat was in perfect condition.

Have bareboat chartered many times in the BVI. This was my first w The Moorings. Absolutely wonderful experience and loved the facility along with amenities for sat night sleep aboard and following sat night hotel stay!

We had a wonderful time sailing the British Virgin Islands with our friends and the crew of a sailing catamaran. The BVI are, of course, beautiful, the boat was very comfortable, the food was excellent, and Captain Anis and Chef Tery were amazing. Anis took us wherever we wanted to go, and he also showed us several great places that we didn’t know about, and we always found a calm place to moor overnight. We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming interspersed with fine dining on Tery’s gourmet meals. Since we expressed an interest in developing our limited sailing skills, Anis let us take the helm, and he showed us how to operate the sails. He even taught us about navigation and reading charts.
Many thanks to Anis and Tery. They made all the difference (as well as devastating Painkillers), and I hope to have an opportunity to sail with them again.

Have chartered with the moorings about 7 times. Always excellent service,clean boats,willing to help with any issue. Can’t imagine a better charter company.

This was such an amazing trip. We chartered a 45ft catamaran with 2 other couples. There is plenty of room to spread out. The staff was very responsive to a few issues that arose. Top notch.

Our captain Levi and crew members Lee and Ella were absolutely fantastic. I can’t say enough about the level of service they provided. The boat was amazing and had multiple areas to sit and relax so we never felt cramped. The food on board was always fresh and delicious and the drinks were great as well! We are already planning to book our next adventure with the Moorings!

We had a group of 8, 4 couples on a 464 PC. Check-in was seamless. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our boat was ready several hours before our sleep aboard started at 6pm. So they let us board early and unpack our things. They assisted with the delivery of provisions and the boat was clean, tidy, and ready to go! Shak was great to work with the next morning as our Briefer. He was there at 830 am so we could get out on the water by 930am. The boat ran great with very few issues that didn’t delay us!

The British Virgin Islands were so beautiful and visiting them on a catamaran was and experience I will never forget! Our itinerary was flexible and tailored to our requests, our crew was amazing and the food was gourmet quality!

We were invited to enjoy a bucket list trip of a lifetime with good friends on “Seas The Day”, with Captain Andy, First Mate and Chef Linzi (Captain Andy’s wife). Captain Andy and Linzi ensured we enjoyed this excursion, offering us the best that could possibly be offered. The yacht was well maintained and cared for. Captain Andy prepared a beautiful tour of the islands and First Mate Linzi prepared equally beautiful and delicious meals for us. We were treated to snorkeling stops along the way and shuttled to the different beaches where we enjoyed days at resorts and secluded beaches. Every afternoon we were treated to Chef Linzi’s “Nibbles” and a “Captains Cocktail”, prepared by Captain Andy to enjoy the BVI sunsets by. If you get the opportunity to enjoy an excursion like this, I would highly recommend The Moorings and if you’re really fortunate, you may be able to ask for and be treated to the best time with Captain Andy and First Mate Linzi.

It’s hard to beat The Moorings for planning a BVI sailing or power catamaran trip. Many choices of boats and a well established company with a great reputation.

Our departure was a bit delayed due to the sail cat not being ready on time but Lindsey compensated for the time lost.

When we were told this would be the vacation of a lifetime, I was excited but not prepared for what was to come. I cannot think of one thing that The Moorings or our constantly smiling and happy crew – Captain Kenrick, chef Vicki and Steward Maddie – could have done to make this trip any better or more memorable! The food, the guidance on where we were going and seeing, what to expect the next day, the 24/7 service, the immediate friendship and bond we felt with the crew were experiences to note. We literally feel like they are family now! If you’re on the fence about whether to take this adventure, go ahead and JUMP off the fence and BOOK NOW! We can’t wait to go again! Enjoy!

We had such a great time on our recent catamaran trip with the Moorings. Our captain, JP was fantastic and helped make our trip a lifetime memory. The moorings facility was outstanding and just overall such an amazing trip.

This was our 6th Moorings bareboat charter to BVI and was again impressed by the staff and vessel (534PC.) We arrived for our sleep aboard option the same evening as hurricane Ernesto did. Our boat was not available as all slips were taken by the recalled charters, so they put us up in the Mariner. We lost 1 day of cruising as the Moorings team put the marina back together. The second day our boat was ready, provisions were aboard, and we headed out for another amazing week in these beautiful islands. Thank you to the Tortola staff!!

This was our second BVI charter with Captain Andy and Chef Linzi aboard the Moorings 50′ catamaran “Seas The Day.” I didn’t think it possible that our enjoyment of this week-long sail could surpass our previous trip, but Andy and Linzi somehow raised the bar. Andy leverages his vast knowledge of the BVI and his sailing prowess to provide a carefree trip thoughtfully customized to the preferences of his passengers. Whether you want to visit the liveliest bars, snorkel the best reefs, relax on the most peaceful beaches, or just float peacefully in a gorgeous bay, Andy’s meticulous planning and sailing will ensure you arrive at every destination ahead of the crowds with an available mooring ball waiting (often the best mooring ball). Complementing (maybe surpassing? 😉 Andy’s meticulous attention to detail is Linzi’s cooking. Her expertly prepared, delicious meals are as enjoyable to view as they are to eat. Of particular note, also, is Andy’s and Linzi’s keen ability to “read the room” to create a comfortable, happy vibe for all on board; not an easy feat when hosting groups with a wide array of personality types and interests like ours! Andy and Linzi have our ringing endorsement.

I can’t say enough good things about my catamaran trip! The BVIs are absolutely stunning, with so many incredible spots to visit—you really can’t go wrong.

However, it was the crew of Funky Miracle who made this vacation truly exceptional. Captain Robin and First Mate/Chef Sophie went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. They were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, from helping us plan the perfect itinerary to ensuring our comfort throughout the journey.

Sophie’s cooking was both delicious and healthy, and she kept the boat—including our quarters—spotless. Robin was not only a patient and highly skilled captain, but he also had a hidden talent for crafting amazing blended drinks!

If (or rather, when) I take another trip, I would request Robin and Sophie without hesitation.

We had a perfect trip, the professionalism and hospitality provided by the crew was amazing. Robin and Sophie are top professionals in their craft. We felt respected, accommodated. It was a joy.

Our BVI catamaran cruise was simply amazing. Truly a “bucket list” trip that was everything we imagined and more. Captain Andy and Chef Wife Linzi were a fabulous team. Top notch on all accounts. What a beautiful area and such a great way to experience the islands up close. We loved it!!!

Sailing just naturally leads to plenty of adventures. It’s a great way to “make memories” and at the same time block out the rest of the world to focus on something really important–like catching the wind or finding the right mooring ball for the night.

Overall, we had an amazing time on our bareboat charter. The Moorings facilities and people were great to work with.
Unfortunately, the power cat we were given had many maintenance issues. Some of these issues we caught on the briefing, many we did not. Bottom line is the boat was on the older side, had a lot of broken parts, and was just plain worn out. After she came in from the previous charter, there was apparently only a cursory cleaning and check.

The Moorings once again did not disappoint. Their professional staff always go above and beyond and their fleet is top notch.

10000000/10 Recommend! Our family sailed for a week with Captain Giacomo. Not only did we have a wonderful time, but Giacomo was so gracious and patient as he taught us how to tack and work the lines to sail the boat! My husband and kids LOVED that experience! The scenery was amazing no matter where we went, but Giacomo was very knowledgeable as he recommended dining locations and the best spots for the activities we wanted to do. His knowledge of the islands allowed him to take us to the best spots for snorkeling, reefs, beach fun, turtles, shopping, groceries, etc. Whatever we wanted to do, Giacomo made it happen. Not only was he a great captain, we also enjoyed having him around as we ate, relaxed, or played games. Take this vacation. It’s a one of a kind experience that you will never regret. The Moorings took care of all the details and were a great company to work with. Thank you!

All expectations were exceeded! We had the good fortune of being aboard the Knotty Toddy with Captain Richard and Chef Shelly….the boat was awesome, only surpassed by the hospitality and attention to detail. The food was amazing as were our adventures! We have already recommended Moorings and the Knotty Toddy to many friends and would love to sail with our new friends Yum Yum and Birdy again!
