Consistently good service

We had the trip of a lifetime. Captain Theo and Chef/First Mate Martina made this perhaps the most memorable vacation of our lives! The boat was perfect, the service was impeccable, the food amazing, and the experience was just fantastic. We loved getting to experience all of the BVIs in only 6 nights! Theo and Martina customized our itinerary each night for the following day and new exactly how to cater towards our desires – a mix of sailing, relaxing, swimming, island hopping and exploring. 10/10 5+ stars!!!

Great staff, great charter yacht, great facilities, great experience.
-
The boats are in great shape, the staff at the base was fantastic and very friendly and helpful with everything including making sure we got to our next destination after disembarking from our cruise. The online provisioning was very convenient and saved a hassle in doing it ourselves.
-
The trip was amazing! Our captain and cook exceeded our expectations. The BVI locations were beautiful and our catamaran was first class.
-
Ideal cruising grounds, well managed crew, fantastic provisioning. The boat was well appointed and maintained.
-
The trip was a one of a kind experience. The amazing scenery as we sailed through the Cyclades Islands was breathtaking.
-
Errol Maynard made our entire trip! We told him the places we wanted to see and that we wanted to sail and use our skills as much as possible. He made all that happen and even got us to Anegada.
-
Everything was wonderful
-
Everything exceeded expectations. After booking, the information received, follow up, reception in place, the quality of the BVI location, the SPA at Tortola, the sailboat was in perfect condition.
-
The one way south sail from St. Lucia to Grenada was fantastic. Mostly beam to broad reaches, great boat, beautiful spots along the way.
-
Have bareboat chartered many times in the BVI. This was my first w The Moorings. Absolutely wonderful experience and loved the facility along with amenities for sat night sleep aboard and following sat night hotel stay!
-
We were very happy with the charter experience. The boat was super and our skipper was very experienced and professional and looked after us very well. The adventure was both exciting and relaxing and everyone in our party enjoyed themselves. The vacation was better than we expected.
-
Excellent front office service. Marina dock crew best seen to date! Especially Pasqel! Our catamaran (Sagitta) operated perfectly.
-
The Moorings is really the main game in charters in terms of base locations, number of boats, and service and upkeep on boats. We’ve also had a great experience with the staff at the various bases from which we’ve chartered.
-
Great boat, excellent service, beautiful place to sail.
-
Boat was perfect. Lene (base mgr) and staff were excellent. Sailing and adventures were amazing. Couldn’t ask for more!
-
Great boats, location and staff – Britiney, Dion and Sadique (sp?). Good sailing grounds. Crossing to Barbuda worth the effort.
-
Really wonderful time. The Cat was very well maintained and we experienced no problems. Elias and his crew were very helpful and answered every question. They made sure we were well briefed and that safety was a priority. Nancy in the front office is a gem with customer service and the facility manager Michael is excellent. All eight of us will be back.

Just completed a lovely charter with 5 girlfriends. This was the most well-maintained and nicely stocked charter vessel I have been on. The staff was all very responsive and helpful. Only suggestion would be to provide more orientation for those unfamiliar with Med mooring. .
-
An amazing experience, our captain Christos was really helpful and nice. Whatever we wanted he would do his absolute best to try and help us do it.
A perfect trip for all ages I would say as there is a perfect balance between relaxing and activities.
I would highly recommend doing quad biking around Poros island, a very fun day to explore. -
We hired 2 boats for our teenage family and their two girlfriends. Both captains were brilliant, they were really helpful and wanted us to enjoy our experience. We had our own ideas of where we wanted to visit and the captains also offered plenty of suggestions of other places to visit.
-
What an amazing experience, enjoyed sailing around the islands with our excellent and very knowledgeable skipper Christoss who really made the trip special. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hot holiday with a good balance between relaxing and exploring.

This year our annual two-week bareboat trip was Antigua and Barbuda. The Moorings was outstanding. The service was the best we have had in 6 years of bareboating.
If you are considering a bareboat vacation, this is one of the best bases to work with.
The location is convenient to stores for provisions and the sailing is outstanding.

The Sunsail team at English Harbour are a delight and work hard to keep the fleet spotless. We were so impressed with our yacht and will be back.

We’ve done several bareboat charters in various locations; this was our first one in Antigua & Barbuda. We’ve gone with both Sunsail and Moorings, as well as local companies. The staff at the Sunsail base is the friendliest and greatest we’ve worked with. Bob gave us a very thorough chart briefing, and both he and Brittany expressed concern about us leaving the first day due to high wind and seas. We checked the forecast together, then took our chances and beat our way in 12′ seas to Green Island, where we safely stayed on a (free!) mooring. Bob even wanted us to call him to let him know we arrived safely (which we did). We noticed the jib sheets were chafed, and Bob promptly re-rigged new sheets for us before we set off.
Pre-charter questions were answered promptly and professionally by Lovena. Sadique was friendly and efficient with the check-in process. And Dockmaster Clive was calm, cool, and collected docking the boat upon our return to crowded English Harbour.
The base itself is in a historical building in Nelson’s Dockyard; as such, it does not have full amenities like the Sunsail/Moorings base in the BVI. There are showers and laundry in a building a short walk away.
We also provisioned using their services, and everything went smoothly there as well. They had to make a couple of different trips to get everything that was on the list (not everything is always available on the island). For last-minute liquid provisioning, there is a well-stocked liquor store in Nelson’s Dockyard, and the empanadas from Dockyard Bakery are yummy!

We have chartered sailboats in several locations, often with Sunsail and the Moorings, the staff at this location were by far the best that we have experienced. This Christmas season, we decided to try Sunsail in Antigua. To be honest booking Antigua with Sunsail was not the easiest. I like to review the cruising guide and charts ahead of time, but despite my best efforts I could not get the correct information out of the administrative office in Florida. Everytime I asked for a cruising guide/charts I was referred to the sample itinerary on their website. At one point I was sent an email link for the cruising guide for the BVI. So, it got off to a rocky start.
Once we got to Antigua, things were very different. The location and staff could not be better. You are not likely to meet a more helpful group of people than the Sunsail staff at Antigua. Nothing was too much trouble, no question would remain unanswered, Although everyone was wonderful to work with, Brittany, Bob and Clive stood out as exceptional, and we are indebted to them, and it was their efforts that earned this review five stars.
There are two things that Sunsail/Moorings could do that would improve the experience. One, bring back the welcome packet that you used to send out years ago with luggage tags, cruising guide etc. Secondly, and I am echoing what another reviewer mentioned and that is having a longer season at Antigua. We would love to visit this destination in the summer and fall, the current cruising schedule offered for Antigua is way too short.Booking # V46349

The staff at the base here is hands down the best. All of the employees go out of their way for you. They tried to help in all aspects of our trip. wish they were open all year around that way I could bring the kids on their summer brake form school..We will be back!
-
Had a fantastic holiday with these people. A few minor issues with the boat but all sorted out in a very friendly and efficient manner. Anyone who knows anything about sailing knows that boats need constant maintenance so it’s really not an issue. We will be back!

We have chartered with sunsail and the moorings in other locations, and the staff at the base here is hands down the best. The facility is not huge, but all of the employees go out of their way for you. One of them even drove my mom and kids to a nearby beach in a dinghy while my husband and I were on our scuba tour. They had great recommendations, and tried to help in all aspects of our trip. I also love the English Harbor location!
