The Moorings is simply the best and this is the world class base in Tortola BVI. You folks took care of everything with practice and purpose as usual.

Candace and Vicki made our trip incredibly memorable. Candace was VERY engaging and always asking us what we needed. She literally made the trip for everyone. I cannot say enough great things about her! Vicki cooked meals for vegan and gluten free with a big smile on her face. She was absolutely delightful and always smiling!

The overall experience was wonderful. The boat was ready as promised, looked great and the cabin was ship shape. The checkout was just right and I felt the boat was set up just like it should be just as advertised.

From arrival to departure the Moorings facility, staff and overall environment was incredible. The 50′ boat was clean and quite new which we really appreciated. We were paired with an incredible Skipper (Sam Crone) who made the trip for us! Sam’s professionalism, attitude and overall fun personality really made our yacht week he became part of the family and just another one of us having an incredible time in an incredible place.

Very well organized. Communicated well before trip. Add on rentals I’d paddle boards, etc made so easily. Very kind, courteous and helpful staff. Our Moorings skipper Will Stewart made the week go so smoothly and every detail was completed with expert care.

It’s a fantastic vacation

This was our second Moorings Charter. We enjoyed it as much if not more. Our Captain was amazing, he helped us see many new places in BVI, even though we were on a charter during low season.

Moorings staff was professional and supportive from the moment we entered into contract to sail in Sardinia until our trip was over. Lorenzo our captain was exceptional making us feel safe, comfortable aboard, and guided us to many sensational destinations.

Phenomenal customer service, boat systems in pristine condition, when we had a mechanical issue with dinghy motor on Korćula, a local mechanic was dispatched within 90 minutes to repair the issue.

I have been chartering with the Moorings for 31 years

We had an absolutely amazing time! I can’t think of one thing that went wrong. Captain Edie made me feel safe the entire time on the boat. He listened to what we we’re interested in doing and geared the itinerary perfectly for us. Chef Ana created beautifully prepared meals that tasted fabulous. We will miss the yummy aromas! Edie and Ana made this trip fantastic for us! We are very grateful they were our crew!

Staff is knowledgeable, accommodating, helpful, and friendly.

They accommodated all of our requests. Was a very relaxing vacation and captain and crew knew exactly where to take us and how to organize the trip. Felt very comfortable and would not have changed a thing.

It was a great week of sailing around Antigua and crossing to Bermuda. Everything went smooth with no bad surprises.
The Moorings Base staff were impeccable, responsible and polite. The bare sailboat we chartered worked almost perfect. It had a couple of minor things that were broken, but it didn’t affect us, and in our experience, that is typical of a chartered boat.
We would do it again.

Travis and his crew were amazing. Everyone was so incredibly pleasant and helpful. We didn’t have great weather for the week. They helped us navigate where to catch reliable mooring balls! Probably the best Moorings locations we have dealt with. We will definitely go back!

We were a week sailing on a Moorings 45 foot catamaran from the Antigua base. The manager of the base, Brittany, the dock support team and our Moorings sourced skipper, Kishawn, were excellent. The boat was in very good condition, clean and comfortable. The base was well organized and clean, in the beautiful location of English Harbor. It makes for a wonderful week exploring the coastline, beaches and harbors of Antigua.

A grand experience on all levels. The islands are beautiful (of course), our time on the boat with friends was very enjoyable, exploring the beaches and villages was both fun and educational. My wife and I both love snorkeling, this time of year the weather is often rough but we still got in many hours of looking at the undersea world.
The Moorings staff at Marsh Harbour was very skilled and professional. My wife and I, and our friends, are all experienced sailors/cruisers but getting checked out on a 43′ yacht and navigating these waters is not something to take for granted, not a trivial task. It went very smoothly and the boat & it’s equipment were obviously well taken care of.

The Best Of, Food: Wally’s in Marsh Harbour, the Wrecking Tree on Green Turtle (town of New Providence), and Florence’s Cafe in Treasure Cay.

Best Of, Places To Visit By Boat: Hope Town on Elbow Cay, especially the Elbow Reef Lighthouse. We did not eat ashore in Hope Town, sorry…

Best Of, Sailing: Abaco Sound north-west of Whale Cay. The get there, you have to go thru Whale Channel which has weather restrictions. Also some less-visited beaches and snorkeling sports (Nunjack Channel); we did not get to spend enough time there because the wind was predicted to rise and we wanted to get back thru Whale Channel comfortably.

It would take me a week to write up the whole week’s experience. To put it in one word, my wife says FABULOUS

Sailed on a catamaran the week around the beautiful island. It was well-equipped and comfortable. The boat was not ready initially because a couple of things needed fixing the refrigerator and a gas line. The generator stopped working halfway through the trip and the tech came out but his fix only kept it operating for a day so we we had no electrical power of 112 volts, and no air conditioning for half the trip. This was an inconvenience. The trip was enjoyable and folks were quite friendly at the Moorings as well as the natives we encountered

After chartering from a previous company we decided to switch for several reasons(mostly poorly maintained boats and check in processes). This was our first experience chartering with The Moorings in Agana Marina Croatia. Second visit to Croatia but Hvar & Vis were beautiful, clean, friendly and so much culture to embrace! Perfect time to visit Croatia is first weekend in October. 70’s, sunny and very comfortable! Also easier to find & get on the quay wall. We love the hospitality, adventure and fresh seafood. We tried a local vineyard in Milna. Local women singing together was pretty cool. We look forward to sailing with Moorings again. Top notch! Well managed! Customer service and communication was quick and very helpful! See you in BVIs.

We had a wonderful time with the Moorings!!! Theres no better way to explore the Dalmatian Coast than on a private catamaran… so dang cool and the moorings and our captain (Ivan) made it so dang easy! You come and go as you want, maximum flexibility, only limitation is the weather and imagination

There was not a day less than awesome. Our captain, Marin, was genuinely the best. He did a great job of sharing his country, not just the touristy spots.

Fabulous trip! We highly recommend exploring Croatia by water—and with the Moorings!!! Request as captain/chef team Denny and Alex! They were the best!!

Excellent service and very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff at The Moorings @ Agana Marina. Our boat was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. All in all, a great, fun experience. We had an amazing charter with many wonderful memories. Croatia and the islands is/are just beautiful & we were lucky with fantastic weather. Thank you to all @ The Moorings at Agana. For my 60th birthday myself and 6 of my favorite people rented a 50′ Cat. A girls trip! As great luck would have it we were graciously welcomed by Captain Edi and Chef Ana. They are truly AMAZING! Their kindness and willingness to go with the flow made this trip epic! Edi has wonderful suggestions ans Ana fed us like royalty. We came to know, down deep in our souls the yachting does not suck! We gleefully announced that we are now Yachtress. Do yourself a favor and join Edi and Ana on a trip of you will never forget. We all miss them!

Truly amazing. Croatian islands and stunning with natural beauty and ancient and picturesque cities and villages. We also loved the Croatian people and culture and their dry sense of humor!

We as a family had a blast.
Captain of the boat ( Deni G) however, was lazy and inattentive.
The chef (Alexandra) was very hard working, personable and tried very hard to please. However, her culinary skills were sub-par.
We are comparing this outing with Moorings with our previous experience in BVI Moorings. Captain Stewart Evans was hard working and doubled as a bartender. He created center pieces of various kinds for the dinner table every day. Becky Evans, the chef, could be an award winning chef by any standard.
Compared to our BVI experience, Dalmatian cruise was disappointing. The Captain, particularly, was mostly absent and immature. The chef, though a nice person, could not cook to save her life.

A must if you love sailing

From the time we arrived in Agana we felt welcomed and taken care of. Our captain Dino and hostess Edita came over to introduce themselves and from that point on, for the next 7 days, we a wonderful time.
They had planned out a route they thought we would enjoy with the appropriate amount of time sailing, motoring, at anchor and in port. Our week on board was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed every day.
We had provisioned for the first few days based on Edita’s input and the remainder of the time she took care of finding fresh fruits and vegetables and meats and fish in each port. She was an amazing cook and wonderful to be around. Dino was great, he kept us informed of each day’s plan, arranged a tour he knew we would enjoy, he was efficient, knowledgeable, professional and fun to be around.
The 45′ catamaran was clean, well equipped, comfortable and roomy. There was plenty of space to meet as group and still have room to find a quiet spot to enjoy a book.
All in all a great experience and I HIGHLY recommend the Moorings and their excellent staff.

One week crewed charter on a Moorings 5000 catamaran is a magnificent experience. The Dalmation coast is a wonder of beauty and history, part of the cradle of western civilization. Each island has hundreds of coves to explore. Each village has its own wines and olive oils, which have been growing for centuries and are not available in your grocery store at home. Castles, villas, Greek ruins, Roman ruins and hiking trails abound. Crystal clear water and breezy sailing afternoons make for a fascinating and enjoyable trip. The captain and chef were amazing. Just do it!

We had a catamaran for a week with family and friends have drowned all the different islands about was amazing. Service was amazing. We loved everything we will be back.

The Captain made the wonderful suggestion to go further away from Athens, to Poros, Milos, Serifos, etc. He and our chef Yulia, from Russia, were so caring, and always making sure we weren’t sea sick. They went out of their way to provide anything for our comfort. It was fabulous.

We were two families (4 adults and 4 children 10 to 12) enjoying a 7day bareboat charter in the Saronic Gulf. The Greek island is to me sailing paradise; wind (we had F2-5 bf) sun, beautiful towns and beaches, and simple good food.
The Moorings, the boat and Mike and his team at the Athens base were all fantastic.
Will do this again!

We just returned from an amazing trip to Croatia on board the Clem’Calije with Edi and Ana!!! My husband and I enjoyed an incredible experience! We have not done a boat trip like this before. Captain Edi made us feel at ease and secure from the very beginning. He was easy going, had a great sense of humor and created a trip that we felt was designed perfectly for us. Chef Ana made delicious meals and stuffed us! The meal preparation smelled fantastic and we were never disappointed with the taste! Ana is great chef with a sweet personality. She always made sure we were never hungry or thirsty! We enjoyed the nights we spent at the marinas in Milna, Stari Gard and Vis. It was fun to people watch and explore the towns. Each morning we would moving towards a new location. Edi would stop before lunchtime to find a nice cove for us to snorkel or paddle board in while Ana would make us a tasty lunch. We’d then head on to our next overnight location in the afternoon. I enjoyed our stays anchoring in beautiful coves the best. It was so quiet, peaceful. Just the sound of cicadas which is Heaven to me! We had some wonderful conversations and truly felt like we were leaving friends when we departed the boat after a week with Edi and Ana. Thanks so much for an amazing and memorable trip!
