Great people working at Moorings! We arrived late (9:30) due to flight delays and we were all starving. All restaurants were closed but Tyrone (Charlie’s chef) helped us get food and a couple beers. Way above and beyond our expectations!! Tyrone is an excellent example of the customer service The Moorings strives for.

Absolutely a trip of a lifetime. 7 nights on the incredible catamaran, Seas the Day. Captain Andy created the perfect vacation for our family. A mix of adventure and relaxation. He made sure we had a memorable trip. Chef Linzi was spectacular. One delicious meal after another. Portions were abundant and the variety of food hit a wide range of preferences. The boat itself was just right. We all felt very comfortable and slept like babies every night. The best part of being on a boat with this crew is the sense of camaraderie. They are an easy couple to be around. Good banter and lots of laughs. We are sad it’s over but looking forward to another trip with them in the future.

We chartered the Mooring 4500L Knotty Toddy with Captain Richard and Chef Shelly! We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this adventure with this crew!
It was “smooth sailing” with Captain Richard (Yum Yum), he was a very knowledgeable and experienced Captain with many years of sailing all over the world and he customized our sailing itinerary to our preferences! He also makes a mean 5 O’clock cocktail!
Chef Shelly (Birdie) was an AMAZING chef…we felt like we were on a 5 star culinary tour….the food was plentiful, all healthy homemade and delicious recipes, cooked to perfection and served beautifully for every meal!
The catamaran was pristine and so roomy with plenty of lounging spaces so it never felt crowded! Richard and Shelly were constantly cleaning and making sure that everything was perfect at all times!
Overall…relaxing sailing, adventures snorkeling and exploring on the islands and definitely one of the most outstanding vacations ever!

I have chartered with Horizon, Dreams, BVIYC, and others over the past 12+ years and keep coming back to Moorings because of the consistency of the equipment and service. This year’s trip was no different. The boat was mostly as-described, the provisions mostly as requested, and the service more than adequate. Running a huge, complicated chartering service like this without a glitch is impossible and reviewers who are disappointed with the inevitable problems that arise before/during their charter should really look elsewhere: There is a place called “fantasyland” where everything is perfect all the time! In my opinion, Moorings is the industry leader and the industry standard. Set reasonable expectations and you’ll have a great charter!

We along with three other couple just finished a seven night island hopping excursion on the Catamaran “Wasted Seamen” and we were spoiled with surprises and great meals by our Captain Francesco and his First Mate Nika.
Can’t say enough about these two. The BVI’s were stunning and the Crew was knowledgeable and very safety minded that made our trip even more pleasant.

We sailed on the Knotty Toddy with Richard and Shelly. Richard was a very knowledgeable and accommodating captain. Shelly was an awesome cook and very outgoing and personable.
We found the water to be murky and the weather marginal. Very little marine life when snorkeling.
Richard and Shelly could not control the weather, but made the best of the charter and it was very enjoyable.

Vacationed in BVI several times. One of the best places for sailing and staying in a different place each night. We have chartered with the Moorings several times, and each time they have made it a great experience. The people are great, and we have never had a problem with the boats.

We were so fortunate to sail on the Wasted Seamen with our captain, Francesco, and our first mate and chef, Nyka. It was just an amazing cruise and they made it so special.

The boat itself was in perfect condition and spotless. We had three fantastic meals a day prepared and presented beautifully by Nyka.

Francesco was so good about following our tentative itinerary and then adding in places that we haven’t visited before. My husband and I have sailed seven times in the Caribbean, but this was so memorable because of the places we sailed and the wonderful crew. They provided us with an amazing adventure!

Did our first trip to the BVI and went with friends on a 10 day bareboat sail around BVI. It did not disappoint. Moorings went out of their way to make us welcome and the check in process was simple. There staff is very attentive, professional and always there to help you from getting your luggage to the yacht, bringing ice and sundries from the provisioning store or showing you where the pool, bar and restaurant are located.

Amazing trip boat was everything we dreamed of! Captain Richard and cook Shelly were the best! Every day a new adventure and the meals were culinary to perfection 😀

We’ve done 7 bareboat charters and this was our first experience with Moorings Crewed Yacht charter, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. We were paired up with Francesco (from Italy) and Nika (from Slovenia) who felt like family by the end of the charter.

Francesco took us to places we’ve never been to before in the BVI, experiencing new activities and quiet anchorages. His knowledge of the islands, sea states, and prevailing weather patterns made a soggy forecast into a terrific sailing voyage. He made arrangements for taxi transfers to the Baths and a Conch/Snorkeling excursion. The outfit in Anegada for the conch excursion was a “no show” and he quickly sourced another outfitter (Sherwin) to take us out. Kudos to Sherwin for a great time and explaining the “hows” of conch fishing and making conch ceviche back at the boat.

Nika was a little energizer bunny, up early and late to retire, in between showing us the excellence of hospitality. The variety of dishes she prepared were extraordinary and we truly appreciated the family stories that accompanied each dish and their presentation. She prepared everything with our personal likes/dislikes in mind. We especially looked forward to sunset hour on the top deck and what was in store for us with Nika’s charcuterie tray and Francesco’s cocktail of the day. Nika not only was the chef but also performed the duties of first mate with skill of a true yachting professional.

There aren’t enough accolades to describe our enthusiastic endorsement of Captain Francesco and Chef/First Mate Nika for our crew of choice for the next time we choose a Moorings crewed yacht charter in the BVI.

We had an amazing time, the weather ended up being great, the boat was beautiful, and our captain Francesco and Nila were just amazing. This was the first time we had a captain and a cook, and we couldn’t have been any luckier than to have them as our crew. The food was amazing And Francesco took us to 29 different places in nine days. I would highly recommend them as your crew if you do a crew boat. We’ve been to the Moorings probably 9 to 12 times and have never been disappointed.

I highly recommend doing a trip with Moorings. Our captain and crew Danny and Snadrine did such a great job making it memorable trip. They went out of their way to make it an unforgettable experience. I could go on and on about how awesome they are. If you are lucky enough to go sailing with them you won’t be disappointed!

Great trip would do again. We went to amazing island and had fun on all of them. The food was great too. Sailing between islands was cool.

We sailed the BVIs as a family and could not recommend enough. The scenery was stunning and The Moorings provided first class service. Our captain Andy was amazing, taught us fun tips about sailing, and ensured safety was top of mind. Linzi was the most phenomenal chef. Our breakfast, lunch and dinner were unbeatable (see pictures for proof). We loved our crew and would definitely use this company again!

This was an epic Crewed family trip to Tortola with the best Captain & Chef in the BVI. As our Dynamic Duo, Andy and Linzi guided us to the best islands and served us the elegant meals. Their knowledge and sailing experience provided us safe passage throughout the week while entertaining us along the way. We will be back.

We just returned from a 10 day sailing vacation with The Moorings, our 23rd charter with them. We keep coming back to The Moorings because they always provide 1st class service and the charter fleet is always in top condition. You might be able to find it cheaper, but you will not find a more quality experience. Service and preparedness. We have already booked our next charter.

Our trip to the BVI was truly epic. We had a wonderful time sailing and enjoying the 50’ft catamaran. Our crew, Danny and Sandrine made every moment special. Meals were fabulous and Danny was a great captain.

Our catamaran had a generator issue, and Danny and Sandrine were absolute professionals working to fix the issue and not impact our vacation. Highest praise to our crew! Thank you!!

Picture 7 days of relaxation. Picture starting every day with coffee hand delivered by your amazing chef, jumping off your beautiful yacht and swimming in the Caribbean sea. Then a delicious breakfast staring out at the water. Seeing turtles and spotted eagle Rays jumping. Then image a skilled, competent, interesting and friendly captain sailing you to one wonderful island after another. The amazing chef delivers lunch and artfully crafted dinner. Lastly you fall asleep floating in a gorgeous bay. If you can picture this, you have just pictured our trip with the amazing captain/chef duo of Anis and Tery.

Quite the amazing 7-day vacation in BVI with the Moorings! This was our first charter with a catamaran powercat and Moorings captain to navigate our boat. Our captain “Shem” was terrific – knew all the best spots to visit from the secret bubbly pool at Jost Van Dyke, to yoga on Saba Island, and the best place for fresh lobster. We had 4 separate cabins for sleeping and 4 separate bathrooms (great so our family could stay a little independent). We purchased food to cook on the boat and balanced that with visits to restaurants on the islands. Our family snorkled, hiked, road electric scooters and had an incredible time. Already saving for our next family trip with the Moorings!

We booked a 10 day charter through the Moorings and had an absolutely wonderful time. What really made the trip was our crew, Francesco and Nika. I can’t imagine a better team. Francesco took us to all the best spots and was so skilled and experienced as the captain. He was always aware of changing weather and sea states to make sure we enjoyed our water activities. He also always picked the best overnight spots that were very peaceful. Nika was an absolutely amazing chef. Everything she made was so delicious. Her presentation and variety of the dishes were first class!! They always kept the boat so tidy and organized making sure we never lost any of our stuff that we always left around the boat. There was never anything that we needed that they weren’t already way ahead of us. They made the entire trip special and quickly became close friends with all of us. If you book a trip with the Moorings I can’t give a high enough recommendation to request Francesco and Nika, you will not be disappointed!!
