Excellent customer service. As you can imagine it is not easy to arrive get the briefing, walk through of the boat, make sure everything works and Fix everything before you sail away as soon as possible. They did it. We arrived late afternoon on Saturday. tons of boat all trying to get settle and ready to leave on Sunday morning. They had a late briefing on Saturday, we did the walkthrough that evening also. We identified that the generator was not starting, the water maker was not working. We were told that the technicians had gone home for the evening and that they will be back tomorrow 8am.
We thought it would delay our departure. the next day we checked with customer service and asked them about our issues. They told us they were aware of our issues and that the technician will be there shortly. Hundreds of people are supposed to be leaving that morning they probably have issues too. I wasn’t even sure if we would be able to leave that day.
Technician came on and it took about an hour to fix the generator and water maker.
We left Tortola at 9:30am
Just fantastic service.

Leopard 4500 in BVIs with 6 on board. Everyone had an amazing time, and very few minor boat issues.
The staff were great as always, and the location is incredible. -
We sailed from 2/1/26-2/8/26 aboard the Beneteau 52’ monohull “Glad to Be Here” with Captain extraordinaire, Chester Leroux, an fun and professional South African expert sailor. We had heavy rain and 25 knot winds our first two days and made the most of the weather by reefing the sails and minting a solid 10 knots! We sailed to Norman Island. We went for a swim and hiked the island and saw amazing flora and fauna before a nice dinner ashore at Pirates Bite. With even more wind and rain, we had an exhilarating sail the next day to Great Camanoe island where we snorkels at Diamond Reef, hiked scrub Island and had dinner at Marina Key restaurant (best painkiller in the BVI’s) beautiful weather our next day and a sail to Virgin Gorda past Dog Islands with flamingo’s flying overhead. Chester arranged for Mr. Dependable to drive us to Hog Heaven with a magnificent view of Leverick Bay. After a brief tour of the island we stopped at the Baths. Our hope had been to drop anchor and swim in but the winds didn’t permit and now anchoring was allowed that day. We then sailed to Anegada in lighter winds. We ate a delicious lunch aboard and then rented a car and drove to different spots around the island and snorkels for hours in various spots! Truly a magical place! We sailed a broad reach toward Tortolas north shore and motor sailed viewing the mountains, homes, flora and fauna. We were able to cut off the motor for a beautiful sailn into Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke where we picked up ice, topped off water then motored over to Little Harbor and anchored for the night and paddle boarding and some other water fun! Dinner at Sydney’s Peace and Plenty never disappoints! We sailed over thebXavea at Norman island with a beaded cave full of colorful rocks and surrounded by coral reefs where we delighted in swimming with fish, observing ray, ears and spotting conchs and spiny lobster. The guys climbed the cliffs and did flips infinity sea below entertaining onlookers. We motored over to the west end of Peter Island for the night and enjoyed sunset and sunrise beach walks, creating beach art sculptures , and collecting a few souvenir shells. Our last day allowed for a 7 knot sail across the Drake Channel back to Tortola. We have bare boated in the past and were really happy that we had a captain this trip. Chester made everything easy and fun. He gave us plenty of space but we enjoyed his company so much enjoyed it when he hung out with us. Chester recognized that we wanted to sail as much and as fast as possible and planned our sails to accommodate our wishes. He made reservations for dinners and boatyballs when necessary. At the end of the trip, Chester created a special map of our journey and sat with us and discussed all the amazing experiences we had at each stop. I can’t say enough about Chester and the terrific time we had because of his thoughtfulness .

We had an absolutely amazing time sailing the BVIs with the Moorings. From start to finish, the trip was amazing. We sailed with a chartered crew and Captain Jackie and Chef Marlyn exceeded all of our expectations. The check in process was seamless and Captain Jackie met us and escorted us to the 45 foot catamaran. From there we were extremely comfortable. The rooms were great and the boat was clean. Captain Jackie had a great itinerary for us and was a lot of fun to spend the week with. Her daily signature cocktails were excellent. I also can’t speak highly enough about Chef Marlyn. Her food throughout the trip was excellent and we are craving her meals now that we are home.
Overall, the trip was one of the best we have taken and we hope to sail again with Jackie and Marlyn in the years ahead.

Our boat rental with the Moorings in BVI mid-February was amazing!
The Mooring Leapoard 42 met all of our expecations.
There were 6 of us ranging from 44-72yrs of age.
When we arrived, the boat was ready and docked right next to the restaurant/bar/pool making for easy access with our baggage.
In addition to pre-arrival provisioning, The market onsite is well stocked with reasonable pricing.
We stayed aboard in the marina the first night and enjoyed dinner and music at the marina.
Once we shoved off, we aclimated to the boat and sailing quickly.
The boat met all of our expectations including a Water Maker, 8 person Dinghy with Automatic Davits, very comfortable rooms with separate shower/bathroom for each of the 3 couples.
We sailed to different mooring balls every day/night.
Once we arrived back to port, someone met us as we were coming in to board and steer the boat back in. Was very thankful for this.
An amazing trip that we did not want to leave and cannot wait to get back! -
Had a wonderful trip, staff very friendly and helpful, 46 power cat was in excellent shape, minimal problems , ac worked well generators and engines ran smoothly and economically. Getting mooring balls requires early morning planning but lucked out most days.

Catered to the young and old… and a good time was had by all

Trip of a lifetime. I added to the group last minute and The Mooring made it so easy. Our Skipper Mathieu was amazing. He was easy to work with and helped guide us in picking out destinations for the right days and nights. He made sure we were safe and taken care of all along the way. The boat was perfect. Not 1 problem ( or if there was Mathieu took care of it and we never knew). He kept us informed of anything we needed to do or not do like short showers when we were somewhere he couldn’t use the water maker. He even told us before we went ( I think it was Annegoda) that we would want to conserve the water while we were there so we were prepared. I would do that trip over and over and would recommend it again and again.

Three couples spent a glorious week on “Seas The Day” catamaran with Moorings early February 2026! It was an amazing week thanks to Captain Andy and Chef Linzi!
Captain Andy had a Zoom call with us about a week before the trip to get to know us and hear more about what we wanted to do etc. He also was able to answer many of our questions.
Finally the day came to board Seas The Day! Captain Andy is an accomplished Captain and we all felt very safe. We also loved that he loves to sail and not just motor around the BVI! He taught us a lot about sailing and charts! He also makes excellent drinks for nibbles around 4:00 pm! He is very aware of what is happening on the boat to keep us safe! The knows the BVI well, has made many friends at various places, and knows the best places to stop!
Chef Linzi spoiled us the entire time with her excellent cooking with fresh ingredients and delightful menus! I miss Chef Linzi!
The name of the vessel is Seas The Day and we were told to do just that! Live for today and enjoy today! Do not think about 2-3 days from now. It was a perfect lesson to make this week slow down a bit and enjoy each memory in the making!
I highly recommend Moorings and Captain Andy & Chef Linzi! They are an incredible, fun and talented team!

We sailed on a Moorings 5000 Feb 11-18 and had a wonderful time. Our Captain and Chef (Anis & Terry) where absolutely awesome on all accounts. The itinerary was planned, but fluid which we preferred. The food was pretty amazing, and Terry did a great job of accommodating a few dietary restrictions of our party. We will be returning.

We have had many visits to the BVI. We usually go the bare boat route, so we know how much fun and how challenging the BVI sailing can be.
We decided to go a bit bouge this time around. This was our first charter with the Moorings. We went with a 46f Cat , captain and chef.
Our week with ‘As you Wish’ with Captain Lucy and First mate/Chef Mark was an amazing experience. The week we chartered there was a 27 boat flotilla, Captain Lucy was great navigating around the flotilla so we didn’t end up at the same spots. Marks food was fantastic. Each meal better than the last. Mark and Lucy did a fantastic job of checking in making sure we had everything we needed.. They were very knowledgeable about the history of the islands , knew the good snorkeling spots, nice beaches and the little quirks of each location. Captains 5 O’Clock cocktail was so much fun. It took us a few days to get over the urge to jump in and ‘help’. But once we went with the experience it was fantastic. Would highly recommend this duo for an amazing experience . -
The Moorings was a great charter company for our first power cat BVI trip. A few of our group had been there before on a sail cat but we decided to ditch the sails for the large fly bridge and very glad we did. The boat (About Time – 464PC) was brand new & had lots of room for everyone to hang out where they wanted. The boat was easy to operate & maneuver through the moorings & docks. The process for checking in & out with The Moorings as very easy. I highly recommend the sleep aboard option the night before as it allows you to unpack & settle in & look over the boat. You can also get your provisions (if you didn’t order them ahead of time through Mooring). That way you are ready to leave a few hours earlier the next day. Spend time reviewing the islands and places to visit, make a plan & be ready to adjust it if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I have travelled many places around. The world for work & pleasure and this trip was one of my favourites. Highly recommend!!! I will be back!!

Moorings Charter Services deserve a higher score than a 5-star! Excellent service from start to finish. Our Captain Wayne and First Mate/Chef Kathryn were amazing! Delicious food and drinks and great sights. If you are looking for a 48 ft Catamaran including a Captain and Chef for a BVI trip, these are your people!
-
We had the best experience with Captain Rico. He made a custom trip for us, helped us with the dinner reservations, we went to White Bay, virgin Gorda, Bitter End, Anegada, basically everywhere.
He was very respectful of our space although we ended up sharing many breakfasts and having great conversations.
This is a magical place and if you can it must be part of your annual vacations.
Thanks Rico for a wonderful experience

The Moorings was the perfect charter company for our first trip to the BVI! We appreciated their clear communication before arriving and easy check-in/out processes. We chartered a 403PC with skipper for 5 nights and it was fantastic (paid for a <1 yr old boat, which we highly recommend doing). Our skipper, Paul Gaetan, was amazing. He is an expert captain and made us feel safe the entire trip whether onboard or in the dinghy. Paul went above and beyond, giving us destination & dining recommendations and even helped with reservations so we could just relax and enjoy our trip! When we get back to the BVI next, we would absolutely charter with the Moorings again, but for 7 nights at a minimum. Thank you Paul and The Moorings for making our trip absolutely amazing!!!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience chartering a 403PC and having Paul Gaetan as our Skipper!
The Moorings is a huge operation and with that comes good customer service, opportunity for newer and nicer yachts, and easy booking especially if you’d prefer a skipper.
Five stars and we’re already planning our next charter!Details:
Booking- The booking process was straightforward and the call center reps were very responsive and communicative. Emails were promptly replied to and the pre departure info was sent well ahead of time.
Arrival- We arrived around 10:00am (we stayed at a BNB nearby) and checked in with the charter desk. They gave us a drink ticket and sent us to the bar to wait! Our yacht was ready by 11:30ish and we met our skipper Paul Gaetan who escorted us to the yacht, went through a safety briefing, and held our own chart meeting to discuss the week.
Our pre-provisioned food/drinks arrived by cart and were placed on the aft table for us. Only a few items were subbed or missing.
We were out of the marina by 1pm after grabbing some last minute provisions from the French Deli just across the street (great bread, cheese, and don’t skip the macarons in the frozen section!) and from the Moorings Market.
Trip- the rest is going to mirror anything positive you’ve read about the BVI.
Boat- we paid extra for a 403PC that was 1 year old or newer. Definitely recommend. The 403PC was new to Moorings in 2024, so some boats may have been in commission for a couple of years. The yacht was clean, everything worked, and I can’t imagine a better way to motor the BVI! We spent the most time up on the flybridge which has ample shade at any time of day. We grilled burgers up top as well. Anchoring and grabbing a mooring ball was easy (with Paul doing all the work)!
Checkout- Paul handled our drop off and checkout so we jumped off with luggage and grabbed the early ferry. We moored at Norman Island the final evening (Pirate’s Bight was great and had Anegada lobster) and we could’ve been back on base as early as 9am if we needed/wanted to.
An excellent trip and highly recommended. Next time- we sail! -
We just returned from a 4-night sailing around BVI on the 4600 (5-bedroom) model and it was fabulous! We traveled with 2 families (2 adults and 5 boys ages 6-13) and we all travel a lot but agree this was one of our best vacations ever! We had a last minute captain change at check in but we literally struck “Captain Gold”…Captain Chester was excellent!! He went above & beyond in every way he could have from recommending the best itinerary, to restaurant and provisioning spots (we did not hire the chef component), to snorkeling areas, and just being an all around fun guy! He interacted with all of so well and our boys all absolutely loved him! He quickly became a friend to all of us! He also did our dishes, kept the boat tidy and any slight issue that arose he was quick to address and fix it. He truly was the best and made our first sailing experience one to remember! Thank you so much to Captain Chester and the Moorings, we can’t wait for our next sailing experience! We will absolutely be requesting Captain Chester if our sailing travels take us back to BVI! Highly recommend this to any one looking for adventure, seclusion and fun!

Our family (2 adults and 2 young kids) had an amazing trip on Seadation 2.0 with Christine and Garth. If you want an experienced crew, request them! This was our second time (in 2 years) doing a Moorings charter and it won’t be our last. Christine I miss you already and I’ll wear our matching bracelets and think of you! Garth – I’ll report back on my “lime in da coconut” when I get home! Nothing can top yours!
Pro tips (if you use Garth and Christine):
1. Don’t forget to turn your cabin/bathroom lights off
2. Make sure you leave alllllll your sand behind on shore (and not on their boat!)
3. Flush for 10 Mississippis
4. Close all doors behind you!
5. Only ask for the toys (kayaks paddle boards, etc) you plan to use!You follow those rules and you’re golden! 😂
Garth and Christine – we hope you won’t hold our sandy-ness against us! 😂
(Owner Blaine- you hit the jackpot with them! They are taking incredible care of your boat!)

Our 3-Cat Armada returned last week and other than the weather being uncooperative, it was a fantastic trip. From Booking to handling issues, everything was managed beautifully.
The Loop Hole in our fleet had fantastic Captain Inga – who was a huge help to all of us (even though she didn’t have to!) – She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in all of the ports giving the other boats (I was on the Lilylolanni) local insights and hints! She was really delightful in all regards!
Highly recommend this trip to those who are looking for a grand tropical adventure!

We absolutely loved our sailing holiday in the British Virgin Islands with Moorings. It was a bucket list holiday and everything I could have hoped for.
The 45′ catamaran, Why Knot, was excellent with a freezer, three fridges, water maker, air conditioning, masses of indoor and outdoor seating and many other features. The Yacht Club was brilliant for when we came off the boat and waited for our flight home.
My only complaint is that the maintenance was very poor:
The boat was clean and well prepared but the rear starboard head was blocked and utterly revolting. An engineer came out to fix it and left saying it was fixed, but it continued to fill up with poo constantly and smelled revolting. This could have easily spoiled the holiday but fortunately we were only using three cabins so we could treat this as a spare. But goodness it was stinky.
The masthead light and several navigation lights were broken as was the (non-essential) underwater hull light.
I wouldn’t bother with pre-provisioning again as the Moorings mini mart was for last minute things and the two supermarkets are a couple of minutes away, well stocked, with shuttles to get you there and back.
Having said all that, if I can afford it I would definitely go back to the Moorings and the BVI again as I loved the holiday.
